JUST FRIENDS?

It had been days since moheazttha had seen Joz, and though she didn't know how and why, but his absence had been weighing on her mind. As she wandered through the palace, she thought she caught a glimpse of him from the corner of her eye. The memory of him always hiding in the bushes at camp came rushing back, and she found herself laughing.

"Bloody owl!" She called out, a grin spread across her face. Joz looked up, his expression a mixture of surprise and amusement.

"Hey there, red hair!" She said moving closer to him. "What are you doing here? I thought you were busy with whatever mysterious things you've been up to lately."

Joz's expression turned sheepish, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other.

"Well, I may have finished my work a little bit early," he admitted. "And perhaps I just couldn't stay away."

Jessica raised an eyebrow, but couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips. "So you missed us then?" She teased.
