Your soul is Mine

A sudden force from Jon Bane's body made everyone near him fly for a few meters, including Elder Tristan and some of the Uranus clan members.

Seeing Jon Bane's body emit a black fire aura while holding the blade of Heptaseas, Elder Tristan ordered all the members of the Tubalcain clan to stay away from Jon Bane.

All of them retreated, but Rica got confused and asked, "Why are you guys retreating and leaving him alone? We should help him."

"He is holding the Blade of Heptaseas for the first time; there's a possibility that he can't control its power; we should stay away from him for now; come here; you should retreat too." Vincent ordered Rica to retreat.

"This guy has a different kind of tokugi; I'm pretty sure he doesn't belong to the Tubalcain clan, but nonetheless, whichever clan you belong to, we are still going to kill you." The leader of the Uranus clan threatened Jon Bane, but he isn't responding. He's just standing in front of them. His eyes are completely black, and his body is covered with a black fire aura.

The leader of the Uranus clan ordered the Rock and Metal Golems to attack Jon Bane, but as soon as they went near him, Jon Bane charged the blade for a second, swung it, and created a black energy wave that cut all of them in half. He managed to kill all of the rock and metal golems in just a single blow. Not only that, the black fire that's covering Jon Bane's body is also blazing the body remains of the golems rapidly. After a few seconds, all of their bodies had been burned down, and a white light came out from their corpses and went directly to the blade that Jon Bane was holding.

The Lava Golems were shocked to witness how fast Jon Bane killed all of their companions. Jon Bane did not just kill them; he vaporized them like they never existed in this world.

Seeing Jon Bane move his feet towards them, the lava golems shoot fire beams at him, but the black fire that's covering Jon Bane absorbs them. It has no effect on him.

"Are you done? It's my turn now." Jon Bane copied what the leader of the attacking Uranus clan had told Elder Tristan earlier.

Realizing that their attacks had no effect on Jon Bane, they wanted to retreat, but as soon as they turned their backs on him and were about to run, Jon Bane's black fire aura immediately chased them and devoured them. Same with others; a white light came out from them, and it went directly to the black blade that Jon Bane is holding.

"Elder Tristan, what are those white lights?" Vincent asked his elder.

"I really don't have enough information about the blade because Heptaseas is keeping it a secret even to me. But I heard him talking to the blade once about absorbing souls. So maybe those white lights are souls of the members of the Uranus clan, but I might be wrong, and I'm still skeptical about this," Elder Tristan opined.

While they were talking, Jon Bane turned his eyes to all of them and was about to go near them.

Seeing this, Elder Tristan got scared and ordered his troops to run, but as soon as they stood up and were about to run, Jon Bane stopped them. "Don't run; it's fine. I just want to know where the scabbard of this blade is."

"Uhhhmm, aahhh, in that vault, it's inside that vault," Elder Tristan stutterly replied.

Jon Bane reached for the scabbard and put the blade inside it. After putting it inside, his appearance immediately returned to normal.

"Look! His eyes look normal now, and his black fire aura is already gone. I think it is safe to go near him now," Rica assertively said.

But the members of the Tubalcain clan, including Elder Tristan, are still reluctant to go near him.

"Thank you for this weapon, Rica. Let's go. We should be in the Estes Clan before evening." Jon Bane sarcastically thanked them and signaled Rica to move.

The whole Tubalcain clan was still in shock over what had just happened to their clan a moment before. All of them were silent for a few minutes.

When they came back to their senses, Jon Bane and Rica were already 500 meters away from them.

"We won the war," Elder Tristan murmured at first.

"We Wooooooon The Waaaaar!" Then he shouted.

After hearing Elder Tristan's shouting voice, the other members of the clan also shouted with him. They celebrated their victory.

Jon Bane and Rica can still hear their voices since they're not that far from them.

"You saved their clan using that blade; can you explain to me what just happened to you?" Rica seems to be interrogating Jon Bane while they are walking.

"It's not the blade; it's the entity trapped inside the blade; the black fire aura came from him," Jon Bane stated.

"How about those white lights? Are they really souls?" Rica inquired.

Jon Bane answered, "I don't really care if those are real souls or not," before muttering to himself, "as long as he's giving me this unfathomable power that can make me almost as powerful as a god."

"Oh, sorry! I forgot you're only thinking about yourself and don't care about others." Rica was irritated by what Jon Bane had said, but she just let it go and changed the subject. "By the way, you told me earlier in Fatidica that you already knew what my cure was; can you tell me now?"

"A scent that ran throughout the hallways, an odor that you can recall as if no time had passed at all, the answer is scented incense from the hallways of their castle. That's pretty easy, you dumbass!" Jon Bane quoted Elder Zabala's allegory before telling it to Rica.

Rica was enraged when Jon Bane called her a dumbass. "Humff, how about you? Are you able to decipher the allegory of the Elder for your destiny?" she asked.

"It's still unclear to me, but one thing is certain: if the time comes when I have to choose between protecting or killing someone, I will always choose to kill rather than protect," Jon Bane said impassively.
