CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE: THE GREAT BATTLEFIELD (FOUR AGAINST TEN THOUSAND)

The southern part of the mercenary ground was filled with normal humans. Today was a day of terror for the terrorized humans. It was a Saturday, one of the two most terrorizing days for them. It was a free-killing spree day for the superhumans and they unleashed the killings on them. There was no network there, so they did not know about the war. Even the superhumans only knew that their leaders went to war, they did not know the result of the war yet. The superhumans outside did not bother to tell them because they had already given up on them. They used to their normal lives and today was a free day to kill the ants.

"Rumble" The reinforced gate that was built around the southern region to protect the humans was lifted. The poor people looked on with terror as the hungry abominations and superhumans all rushed towards them. They all stood there in terror, they already accepted their fate. They did not know that a shadow was looking at them because it was midnight, so they did not notice it. The shadow suddenly disappeared and a human appeared.

"Ahh" The people surrounded him and they all moved away from him while looking at him with terror.

"Poor people," He said, they already lost their will to live. He said as he looked on at the multitude of superhumans that were coming.

He just walked towards the division that divided them from the superhuman. The humans around were surprised because they already expected him to start a massacre among them but they did not put down their guard. He did not say anything because trying to talk to them would make them more insecure. He just placed his palm on the ground. Chaotic energy spread around the barrier and within some seconds, it surrounded the southern region. He stood up and the chaotic energy turned into a wall. He felt a little bit tired because he expended quite a lot of chaotic energy trying to surround the whole southern region with chaotic energy.

"Guys you can start coming. Let's destroy these monsters once and for all now" He said as he summoned his shadow soldiers and his sword and gauntlets. One hundred shadow soldiers stood beside him. A man with his sword facing thousands of monsters alone. He and his one hundred shadow soldiers looked like ants against the sea of superhumans. The people at home all looked at their screens with anticipation.

"Will this man be able to create history or will he also be lost in the history of time"

"Slaughter" He muttered as chaotic energy blazed to life on his sword and he entered the battlefield. His shadow soldiers moved into the battlefield with him. The humans inside watched the black strange energy surrounding them. They were expecting the worst but nothing happened.

"Is he trying to save us??" They thought.

"Has a savior finally arrived?" They thought but were not sure until they saw the energy rippling because superhumans were dying from ramming into it. They knelt on the floor immediately and started to cry.

"They are outside, start the preparation for the missile," Tiger said excitedly.

"Slash" Sizzling chaotic energy came to life as he stopped and slashed his sword out. A chaotic crescent emerged from the sword. The crescent destroyed tens of enemies. They immediately turned towards the one man who was preventing them from entering the southern region. They all saw the man with the strange energy.

"Die" If they could kill him then the barrier stopping them would be destroyed. They all swarmed towards the one man. The battlefield direction turned with thousands of enemies running towards the one man.

"Bring it on" He shouted. The people who were watching the event at home all felt their blood rushing,

"This is a real man" They stood up. Even the leaders felt excited.

"Boom" Suddenly, blue flames surrounded the place where Mark was, and the enemies that were trying to pounce on Mark all froze. Amelia showed up on the battlefield,

"How far? Is that a spectacular entrance? The beauty saving the hero" Amelia asked with a smug smile. The blue flame receded into her body and she nimbly landed beside him.

"Does the hero need a savior? You just ruined my moment" He said while sighing. Martins and Charlotte appeared beside him.

"Guy looks like we will be having a lot of fun," Martins said as he looked at the battlefield.

"Just pick your portion, Mark said.

"Whoosh" He disappeared. He already switched with one of his shadow soldiers who was far away.

"Sizzle" Chaotic energy blazed out from the sword and killed another set of rhumans. His sword started to become irregular, he was already practicing and perfecting the flowing movement technique. Anywhere he passes through, body parts will just fall. His movement was irregular just like that of a ghost. This was a pure massacre. He was killed while also mastering the slaughter intent forward. Meanwhile, in his heart, his sword heart looked like it was blooming. It was shining with divine light and sword intent was radiating from it. The massacre continued for hours, it went from midnight to four in the morning.

Around four in the morning

"Ahh" He knelt with his sword pointed down. He was panting profusely while he was feeling pain in his whole body. His stamina was already terrifyingly low. This is the first time his stamina is low. The remaining enemies were getting closer to him with murderous intent. It was expected because over one-quarter of them had been killed already.

"Humph" He just smirked

"Arise" he raised his hands and cries came from different parts of the battlefield, Thousands of shadows rose while hundreds surrounded him. They killed anyone that tried to get close to him. The battlefield was being dominated but there was a problem, he could feel his ability cells also depleting. He needed to use his ability cell to sustain the shadows that were not his shadow soldiers.

"Why am I not breaking through to sword astral phantom" He asked as he panted heavily.

"Guy calm down," Liz said.

"You broke through three sword realms within days, You have to know that it takes years to reach the stage you are now and your sword heart is extraordinarily unusual. I will explain it to you when we have time," Liz told him.

The battle continued and within one hour, the enemies were reduced to a few hundred but his ability cells were depleted so all the shadow undead he called out were cancelled leaving his shadow soldiers. Rich blood essence entered his body. He got back into the battlefield and within a couple of minutes, the remaining enemies were all killed. They tried to escape but they were all killed like chickens.

The audience who had been following the battle from the night, most of them were already on their feet while their body was all hyped up. Their face were all flushed from excitement as they watched the battle go on. They were even cheering this group that brought hope back to earth. The moment the battle finished, cheers erupted.

"Battle God, The god of slaughter" Different people called him different names. A man going against thousands of soldiers. They could not believe it, it was only a thing of myth. This was their own Buddha, the only person they were placing hope on

"Launch the missiles" Tiger commanded from the white house.

"Let the game end here, he is too terrifying," Tiger said. The leaders were all shaking in their seats while they all looked at the guy wearing blindfolds with a dumbfounded face. Four people destroyed the battlefields of more than ten thousand soldiers and it was mainly due to this blindfolded youth. Even the leaders could not do that themselves. They did not think that a person could make them shake till this day, moreover, it was the guy that was an ant before them.

"He has to die," They all thought. It was only today that they believed the seer, they did not take the revelation seriously before but today, they saw what this guy was capable of.

"Yes he has to be destroyed"

Mark soon finished absorbing the blood essence on the battlefield he calmed his mind so that he would not be affected by the random consciousness in it. After some minutes he finally confirmed that it could not affect him again, and he opened his eyes. Amelia, Charlotte, and Martins were already beside him, they looked tired and battered and blood was smeared on them. All in all, they looked miserable. He snapped his finger and the chaotic energy surrounding the southern region came back into his body.

The people who were anticipating what was happening all looked outside. This will determine their fate. They all heaved a sigh of relief when they saw the dead bodies on the floor. They looked at their four saviors with different gazes. Respect, admiration, adoration, gratitude, everything was reflected in the gazes being directed toward them. They all knelt in gratitude while tears were streaming from their face. They started to kowtow towards the four. Even Martins, Charlotte, and Amelia felt moved even though they were not from this planet.

"These people have suffered a lot," Martins said.

"I will never forgive anyone involved in this" Mark said with anger as he looked at how the people were behaving when they saw the battlefield.

"Talk to them," Amelia told him. His wings popped up and he floated towards them, he was very tired to the extent that even walking was difficult for now. He arrived in front of them and he landed down. They all looked at the blindfolded youth who was here to follow him.

"I will make them pay," He said. The people all looked at him with complicated emotions and soon another round of kowtow began. As he was looking at them, suddenly his whole sense began to tingle while all his scale stood up. The other three also felt danger and looked up......…
