CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE: RUNESMITING

Mark looked at the metal with a gleeful expression. This is his first tempered metal. After some time, he put it on the table again and took the hammer. Even though he was feeling a little bit tired, he still felt like going further, like this was not his limit. He is very far from his limit. He wants to commence with the second path of forging which is spirit forging.

Spirit forging is the path where the ability of a metal to conduct energy through its meridian will be induced. Spirit as its name implies means energy. For a metal to conduct energy and be able to store a little bit of it, its meridian must undergo modifications. This is the path where ninety percent of rank-one blacksmith get stuck for the rest of their lives.

Why?

Because to modify the meridians of a metal, extensive study must be done to know the properties of the meridian and the steps needed to modify them.
