.....

Hermione, after discovering her alchemy skills, turned around and asked Luke to teach her how to brew few simple potions.

Luke naturally did not refuse the request of his little girlfriend.

With Miss Hermione's participation, Luke usually felt a lot easier.

So there was a share of Hermione as it should be divided.

"I've thought about it, the gold Galleon earned this month is about 6,000, and you will get 500 gallons.

Luke thought about it and chuckled.

However, Hermione shook her head: "I didn't do much, it's too much."

"Stop, the two of us don't need to say such things."

Luke hurriedly skipped the topic.

"Instead of thinking about this, you might as well look at the books we bought."

He pointed to the pile of books beside the desk, most of which were Lockhart's travel books to pass the boredom.

In this semester's Dark Magic defense class, they had bought more than half of the books during the holidays, so they only needed to buy a few more, and it didn't cost much.

"How come there are so many?"

Hermione looked at it, somewhat increduLukesly.

She remembered that she had only bought two copies...

"I bought the rest."

Luke said helplessly.

Lockhart's travel tales were undeniably captivating, rivaling even the allure of alchemy within Bookstore.

If one didn't know about Lockhart's true nature, they might have assumed him to be a legendary wizard of great renown.

"Huh, Lockhart…" Luke chuckled to himself, recalling that Lockhart was nothing more than a master of the Memory Charm. All his stories were merely plagiarized from other people's memories, with his own writing style added to create his illustrious reputation.

"You seem to enjoy reading his books more than I do," Hermione remarked, approaching Luke with a notebook in hand.

"The books are entertaining, but the man himself has some issues," Luke shrugged, finding it difficult to articulate his feelings about Lockhart to Hermione. After all, he had never met the man in person.

Constantly hearing Luke speak about Lockhart, Hermione couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment from the authors of these books.

"Could you help me see if this potion can be infused with snakeskin?" Hermione asked, handing the note to Luke.

After examining the recipe, Luke pondered for a moment before nodding. "Certainly!"

Setting aside the book he had been reading, Luke began to explain the potion's refining process to Hermione.

Lately, Hermione had been devoting a lot of effort to potion-making, experimenting with various concoctions in the basement. She had even started refining a complex potion that would take several months to complete, though it might not be finished by the start of the school year.

As she listened to Luke's explanation, Hermione absentmindedly turned the silver ring on her finger, contemplating the runes engraved on it.

"What are you thinking, so fascinated?"

Luke pinched Hermione's smiling little nose and asked curiously...

"Do you know the meaning of the ring?"

Hermione snapped her fingers, dissatisfied with the pinching, and asked Luke.

"Of course, I know."

....

Lockhart's book signing will be held in

Bookstore in five days.

Naturally, Hermione and Luke, who lived on the opposite side, also got the news.

Luke can already predict how hot the business will be on the other side five days later, but his potions shop is empty.

After hearing Luke's exclamation, Hermione couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh.

She knew that in this month, Luke's gold Galleon income was no less than the combined income of the Bookstore and clothing store.

And in comparison, Luke's side is very leisurely. Every day here, he is reading books and refining medicine for 0.1.

No need to be busy at all.

Five days passed quickly.

Hermione was awakened by the sounds outside the window. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and turned to look at the Bookstore opposite.

Before dawn, quite a few wizards were already standing at the door waiting.

Most of them were young witches. After all, Lockhart was still considered very handsome and had been on the cover of magazines several times.

But in her view, Lockhart didn't look as good as Luke.

Hermione turned to look at the clock on the wall; it was only about five o'clock.

It's crazy...

She thought so but cast a silence spell with her wand and went back to sleep on the soft bed.
