"My. Tyler?" I called out to him.
"Yes, dear!"
"what happened to us during the interrogation?" I needed to know what happened, because during the interrogation, it felt as if we were possessed.
And I think I have a hunch as to what happened. My. Tyler fought alongside our clan from the tyrannical era of the Asuras and has remained faithful to the empire since his whole life. As an professor and military instructor, he was not too kind and not too strict, just right. Interestingly everyone knows that he's an esper, but no one knows what he manipulates. I have employed several methods to find out but I couldn't get the answer before. But thinking about what happened in the interrogation, I can't help but be reminded of a story my dad used to tell when I was young.
"what do you mean?" he asked me with a smile.
"well, My dad once told me a story about the devil's musician! In the story the devil musician served a warrior king of light to banish evil and restore peace to the kingdom. He said that the devil musician was an esper. And he earned his name because of his strange powers. At his command, soldiers will abandon all sense of reason and charge at the enemy at the expense of their lives. Enemy who are loyal and trained in both body and mind will yield to him at his request without question. all those to listened to him, will praise him as if he was the God of truth himself, even if he blatantly lied"
"hmm! that's a really cool power, shame it doesn't exist though!" he replied casually.
"well! I believe that it does exist but it's not documented properly!" I replied seriously.
"oh! why do you think so?" he asked.
"because, I witnessed this power being used and I was on the receiving end of this power."
"well, Why don't I clarify something for you? for starters, the devil's musician is a code name to a soldier who belonged in the Specially Armed Forces(SAF)! He was part of the 6th batch!"
"batch 6? wait, that's dad's batch! do you know him?" I asked, curiously.
"well, yes! I know him, he's me!" He hit me with the OT quote.
But wait does that mean?
"Yes, I'm the devil's musician" he confirmed my suspicions.
"Wait, you have the power to control people's minds?" I asked.
"Well, yeah! but my powers are a bit vague if I had to put it! Mind control is just a part of it." He replied with a smile.
"then what do you control?"
"Humans" he answered with a smiling face.
"h-humans! like people?" I was flabbergasted.
"yes, I control every aspect of humanity, itself or I can exercise my control over a certain individual. I can dictate every part of their life. how they speak, how they dress, how they behave. I can literally rewrite common sense, if I wanted to!" He explained his power in the most creepy way possible.
"So, can you fix the blue bird transformed into a 'X' people?"
"No, That is both beyond my abilities and beyond any hope!" He replied sadly.
"..."
"But enough about me! what's on your head?" he asked.
"oh! this is Clarence X, a pigeon that dad raises as part of the legion of animals that dad has!"
"wait a minute! Clarence? He was a carrier pigeon that our batch used to send messages! If he's here then .." He paused when suddenly received a message on his phone. He took it out and read the message before he face curved into a sudden sinister smile.
"what's wrong? Mr. Tyler" I asked him as he looked a little creepy.
"oh! nothing just thought of something cool!"
"Mr. Tyler, you still haven't explained why you took control of us?"
"Well, I did that just to be on the safe side, but now, the situation has changed." His sinister smile slowly developed into a evil villain's laugh.
