CHAPTER 60- SO SOON II

We heard the people outside rushing excitedly hearing the drums and blowing of trumpets like calling the attention of all people that the royal family had arrived to the city. They're already here.

We both look at each other like we're on the same page and we both nodded and the costumers hurriedly finished their food and rushed to meet the majesties on a parade, riding the most luxurious carriage of all the land.

"Be careful your highness" said the workers inside and I nodded before we leave. Hinatak na ako palabas ng baron. The red confetti fell like a petal of roses; it's like I was racing down on the field of roses.

The streets are deafening. We inserted to the crowds-cheering, the guards surrounded the routes, giving way to the VIP the madapaker. I saw the Grand duchess inside waving her hands to the people and if I was close enough I'm gonna throw her a whole piece of pie. They climb down the carriage. And the cheering stop when the Queen raise her hand, the poor soul praising their presences but me and the barons we're not thrilled were the only people in the crowds staring at them. My emotion began to boil to the surface. My shoulder stiffened and my fingers trembled. Gritted teeth, suppressing my quivering finger. They disgust me.

"The king still missing" I said and the Baron looked at me with confusion, he didn't know because he was locked up for many years.  "What if we sneak inside the palace. I'll leave the other aristocrats here to watch" the lunarian saw us and I saw them scowled at the Queen.

"Let's go now" I said and someone yanked me

"Wait where are you going?" asked Luna Quartz

"We" turo ko sa chancellor na di maalis ang tingin sa mga iyon "We're going, you stay here and guard the place" I gave them a tasked and they nodded at pinakilala ko ang Chancellor at pareho silang lahat ng reaksyon

"You! I know these faces..."

"Chancellor let me explain"

Mukhang nabuking niya ang lunarian. How can this man knew this people are fairies. The lunarian was trembling and they reach something on their pocket. Might be their dagger to defend themselves from him.

The feast is about to begin. We can't be seen in such large numbers of crowds and the people won't mind us because they won't missed any chances to celebrate the festival. The people dance and sing to entertain the nobles. It was lively and aristocrats are giving me a look of they're here. Nakita ko naman sa di kalayuan ang mga paputok at maayos na nilagay malayo sa mga ciudad. I turn my attention back to them. I stand and spread my arms either way, defending them.

"Chancellor this fairies help me, you know the struggles that we've been through to get here, hear me first I beg you. You can do whatever you want after I save my kingdom" I pleaded, begging him to listen. Yuyuko na sana ko ng pigilan niya ako

"Never lower your grace"

"B-but"

"You're just like your mother" he said and I left puzzled. All I know is he was against it, the protest was ignored by the court. The Queen failed to defend the fairies because the prime minister are against her, they might love her but they don't agreed with the decision of having peace with the creatures. "Her descendants are quite stubborn"

"Her, her who?"

"Queen Emory, they said that she was once ran a protest, to defend the fairies giving them right to live among the human"

"As for you, I thought you're against fairies and even declared and give order to kill them, you hunts them more since you serve the monarchy"

"Yes I did, but I never said that I'm going to kill them but I'm sorry because I was afraid that the king will dismissed me I can't go back home without a job, and also it's been years already and since your her descendants I can trust you, my wife is from Ginome, my daughter and some are half pixies" I was stunned to hear it. I leapt for joy after hearing it. Like a frog already.

"Why didn't you tell me!!" I saw over the moon but I tried to act cool

"Ang mahal na reyna lang ang tanging nakakaalam, her reign stop when she died and I tried everything to protect my family to be hunt down. And those trades are order from the your stepmother not from the king. He didn't know all of her side of ruling the kingdom"

"So we had a lots to talked about. But first let me save my father" I said and he gather the other aristocrats, this aristocrats are in favor of the mother, they are loyal to her. So I can trust them. My heart never been so excited with mixture of fear.

I called the lunarian to check every  households. The aristocrats will be checking the townsfolk and alley the provinces will be alright cause they are far from here.

We both rushed to the tavern  and saw the Earl Grey. He allowed us to sneak in and as we descend the stone staircase we were halted by some soldiers but later apologized and three of them lead us to the second tunnel where it will leads to the throne room but the Earl stop us.

"Be sure to come back here 2 hours is enough. If you're not coming them I'm going to call the others"

"Thank you"

"Be careful your highness"

The door secret door slide open and we sneak out and saw no one. We hastily checked the place. Nanatili kaming nakatago dahil maraming mga bantay sa lugar.The three soldier from Bel' air gave us a hand signs to follow them behind and then stop again to hide.

The king's chamber are still on the fifth floor and we're are on still on the second floor. Para kaming mga criminal na nagtatago sa mata ng batas

"Stop right there!"

"Oh shit!" I swear and punch the wall.  Nanginig na ako at nilingon ko ang limang gwardia. At bilis nilang napigilan ang tatlong kawal na kasama namin. Hinuli nila kami at pumasok sa madilim na daanan.

"Guess I'm going back to that old cell, twice. I'm sorry for rushing you here..."

"It's fine, bad luck lang talaga tayo" now I have to think another plan of escaping. This men will gonna led us to the darkest dungeon. Where all prisoner will be left and starve to death because the guards will grew tired of watching them. The dungeon was damp and cold, mossy floor and the sound and light left that horrible place.

They open the door and a sudden  light blinded us and they lead us to the king chamber and saw my ladies-in-waiting nursing the king and by the looks of his condition he looks healthy. 

"My ladies"

"Is that you, your highness?!"

"Yes" I said and I remove my wig and they rushed and jumped on me like a frog. We fell on the floor and they buried their faces, crying like a child. Basa na ang damit ko ng kanilang luha.

"Your highness! We miss  you so much " they bawl and I rubbed their back to calm them.

"Okay, okay let me sat up" I said and they assisted me and they wipe their tears away. Nabigla lang ako ng paghalikan nila ako sa noo ko at iba naman sa pisnge ko.

I heard a metal clang and saw Emerald punches the five guards on their shoulder "Thank you for leading our beloved princess" aniya.

"Princess?"

"Oh!!"the five guards rushed and pinch my cheeks "So this is the famous honeysuckle that we've been hearing, she indeed endowed such brilliance, I'm smitten, thy elegance is captivating" I shrugged on their compliment and move back away from them and shivered.

"Whose those people?" I asked

They removed their bascinet and revealed their longs hair. And their features are different from one of the soldiers of Estheria. They bowed their heads like they were some kind of a prince. My jaw drop to see their faces. If this man exist on my era the women will be fighting over them. "it's nice to meet the ethereal beauty of Estheria. We somehow remind you of someone back home"

"Geez, they might be resembled but they are living in a different time" said pearl and they nodded,

Sino kaya Yun? Ayan nag overthink na ako. Ako na mismo nagsulat ng story ako pa ang kinulang sa detalye puchang utak

"That's the ranger Juneau of Junakie a friend of Luna crest... Wait nasan si Luna crest?"

"It's a long story, his back home to Zendalia, he was attacked by scouts"

"Esthelian, my daughter is that you that I heard.." I heard the king's voice. "Hopefully I wasn't hallucinating" Emerald assisted him to sat up and his tears fell

"Papa I'm home" I rushed to his bed and gave him a hug. Parang ayaw na niya akong bitawan sa yakap niya. He release me from his embraced and put his chubby big hand on my cheeks.

"I thought..." Tears are forming on his bloodshot eyes already.

"I can't leave you papa, you and Quera are my family, you tell me that I have to be a Queen to lead my people... But first off, we need to get outta here, we're in danger.."

"W-- where are going? What are you scared of the guards are here to protect us..."

"Papa trust me this time"

"Your majesty" chancellor Ghudan bowed his head "Listen to your daughter the Queen plan a plot to kill all of you.."

"Is that you Ghudan?" The king was stunned to see him without his mustache. We have the same expression of seeing him more youthful without it.

I turn my face to my ladies and waiting "Get my sister here, we need to flee"

"What is happening, what do you mean by killing us? Are you all insane? I was I'll and she was alone shouldering the responsibility that a king must handle but..."

"Papa you can't trust her" I sat down and wants to talked to him and explain in manner. I can't just rushed him, he just recovered from his illness "The people who works around her are clone except for the maids and the butler but the higher rank nobles are on the Queen side. The aristocrats are left in the cell. The clone is the one who's in charge, collecting taxes, killing the towns people and also the bomb  lies beneath the town... But you don't have to worry I asked for help with the people... Basta I can't tell all that at one. Just come with me, We need to keep you safe, I promise you I'll answer that"

The king was confused, anxious his feeling mixed up and just let out a big sighed.

"My king listen to her ipasintabi mo muna ang mga katanungan na niya. Ten of your aristocrats including me are secretly dragged to that old cell. The chancellor who worked with the Queen is my clone"

The king was still puzzled. But I was enlightened when he held my hand and followed me.

"Ready?" I said while holding the thing that will help us flee the castle without alarming the guards.

"Ready" we snuck out safely "Nice tricked your highness"

His feet are still weak and the Chancellor carried him all the way down. We rushed outside together with my sister. The guards blocked us but the Juneau made it easy for us to escape and we're are running on the third floor.

"I can't go any longer" I heard my father's weak voice and his grip looses. I look at him and everyone is flabbergasted in shock. His white clothes are tainted in crimson blood. We looked back and saw the Queen with an arrow. Grinning ear to ear.

"Seize them, I want them alive to be executed in front of his lowlife people"

"Fynne how could you!" I heard my fathers voice. Couldn't believe for her betrayal to the royal family.

"You see old man, I can't lead the kingdom and long as you and...." She darted her eyes on me "Oh, your alive, what can you say about this Tonali?!"

"I have been waiting for this moment I can finally have my revenge" The place are now surrounded by the soldier. We can't possible escape by such numbers. The guards grab me closer to her and the others are blocked with the sword preventing them to interfere. I glanced up and she looked at me, her smile widen and ran her tongue on her lips, like she's tasting the light of victory. An intangible blade past my cheek, a subtle burning sensation invaded my cheeks before a lock of my golden hair fell on the floor, looking up it's tips pointed at me. And she wasn't satisfied and slap and I winced when my wound got disturbed. "I am the next in line!" She thundered "You are nothing now your power couldn't ran against us, you do what I say- all of you bow down to the Queen!" Her eyes ablaze with fury yet I never show my fear. I felt the warm stinky liquid dropping on the floor, staining my clothes but I remain nonchalant and later smile at her and that made her curse me even more.

"Why are you smiling!" She slap me and I spit blood with a chuckles

"You just show me that you're afraid of our presences. You attempt in killing us because you can't rule while we are in line. You're just a mere loser wanting to grab the opportunity. Like a hungry dog..." I stop when the Queen kicked me and I gasped for air when I feel the impact of her heels on my chest. But I still chuckles and they couldn't believe my guts even they beat me non stop. She grab my collar and the salted blood burn my eyes but I still look at her with a grin

"Stop smiling!"

"Shut up old hag you, this is my kingdom. I am the illegitimate child and descendants of king Dethen and my mother help you from dying"

"Oh you want me to thank you?"

"Your very much welcome bitch, you can have the throne, but don't hurt my people..." Napatigil ako ng tutukan niya ako ng palaso at napaleeg naman niya ang espada ni General Zhyperbliss.

"She said don't hurt anyone"

"A rebel, you dare!"

"I will be, if you hurt the princess"

Naramdaman nalang ako ng may pumukpok sa ulo ko, my vision started to double and I felt my body fell on the cold floor, tumawa lang Ako habang padilim na ng padilim ang paligid. "I'm not done! This is just the beginning" I said before my vision corrupt by the darkness.
