Chapter 23:Gobumo

After practicing four or five times, Goburi could make decent barbecue, although there was still a big gap compared to Goburo's. Nonetheless, it was satisfactory.

Before long, the smell of meat wafted around, tempting the goblins training outside.

However, due to Goburo's pressure, only four bold ones disregarded their training and ran over, while the rest obediently continued their training.

Seeing the four goblins running outside, Goburo's eyes narrowed as he remembered their faces.

These disobedient goblins could be used as examples to deter others, but he wouldn't resort to severe punishment.

Facing Goburo's gaze, the four goblins were startled.

Three of them immediately fled, leaving only one who stared fixedly at the barbecue on the fire.

Goburo became interested in this goblin, as it displayed remarkable bravery.

"Come here," Goburo said coldly to the goblin.

Hearing Goburo call his name, the goblin hesitated for a moment.

After looking around and confirming that it was indeed being called, it cautiously approached Goburo.

Witnessing this scene, Goburo was slightly surprised.

Normally, goblins were suppressed by their bloodline and would be too scared to move when spoken to in such a cold and intimidating manner.

However, this little goblin seemed to have quite the courage.

Goburo liked bravery, so he decided to cultivate this fellow.

He then took out a roasted pig leg and placed it in front of the goblin.

The goblin smelled the meat and started salivating uncontrollably, but it didn't dare to snatch it in front of Goburo.

"Do you want to eat?" Goburo asked.

"Yes, I want to eat!" the goblin nodded eagerly.

"What's your name?"

"I'm called Gobumo."

"Gobumo, I got it. If you want to eat, it's not impossible. Have you finished today's training?"

"Yes, I finished," Gobumo honestly replied.

Hearing his response, Goburo was somewhat surprised.

According to his usual training tasks, they would typically continue until nightfall.

"I'll give you another chance to tell the truth. Have you finished the training?" Goburo asked.

"I finished," Gobumo replied, his expression unchanged.

Goburo was surprised that this goblin had the audacity, regardless of whether it had completed the training or not.

Handing the roasted pig leg to Gobumo, Goburo said, "Eat if you've finished."

Gobumo, receiving permission, hesitated for a moment before eagerly grabbing the pig leg and devouring it. In no time, the leg was completely gone.

"Satisfied?" Goburo asked.

"Not yet," Gobumo honestly answered.

"Then redo everything you've done today, and you'll get another leg of pork like this."

Upon hearing Goburo's words, Gobumo's eyes lit up.

He immediately ran back to the training ground to continue training.

Goburo was not at all concerned about the possibility of overtraining for these goblins.

Based on his memories, even if they were vigorously trained on the first day, as long as they received sufficient nutrition, they would recover quickly in a matter of time.

Although they might sustain some hidden injuries, evolution would rejuvenate their bodies, purging and healing those injuries.

Before long, it was evening.

Goburo had finished processing the prey he had caught today, and both the hunting team and training squad had returned.

A group of goblins gathered together, chattering about the bonfire feast.

"What do you guys think the bonfire feast that Goburo mentioned is?" one goblin asked curiously.

"I heard Gobora say there will be lots of food to eat, and everyone will gather around and dance," another goblin replied.

"What's dancing?"

"Dancing is just dancing."

...

After evolving, Goburo's hearing became exceptionally sharp.

Although they were far away, he could vaguely hear what they were saying.

Soon, he arrived at the bonfire party scene, followed by several goblins pushing carts loaded with a large amount of roasted meat.

As the meat was brought in, the eyes of all the goblins present widened.

Observing the goblins' expressions, Goburo's mouth curled slightly, and he spoke, "These are all for you to eat. From now on, the amount of food provided will depend on your training progress. However, today, there are a few who are unworthy of attending this bonfire feast."

As Goburo spoke, he locked his gaze on the goblins who had left their training midway earlier.

He continued, "You four, come forward."

Hearing Goburo's voice, the goblins timidly walked forward, trembling.

Only Gobumo, who had conversed with Goburo, seemed less afraid.

"You four of you ran away during training today. If you want to join this feast, you need to redo your training. Once you're finished, you can eat. Each person will receive a pork leg. Gobumo has already completed it, so he doesn't need to continue training but can join."

Upon hearing Goburo's words, the other three goblins regretted deeply. Why did they have to run away? Now they had to redo their training.

Only Gobumo didn't regret his choice, as he would get twice as much food as the others.

Soon, the strong desire overcame their fatigue, and the three goblins, against their weary bodies, joined the training again.

Then the bonfire feast began successfully. Due to limited food, each goblin received a portion of meat equivalent to the size of a pork leg.

Although it wasn't much, it was more than enough for a typical goblin's appetite.

Goburo wanted to see how many talented goblins he had among his subordinates, so he took this opportunity to observe while indulging in the food.

Now that he had advanced to the elite level creature and evolved his small stomach to a medium-sized one, he could eat much more.

The last person bravely ate ten heads of monsters before finally feeling satisfied.

Feeling the increase in his appetite, Goburo was naturally pleased because it meant his progress would accelerate.

However, facing these delicious roasted meats, more than half of the goblins didn't finish their portions. Only 15 goblins managed to eat all the meat.

Goburo focused on these goblins and noticed both Gobura and Gobumo among them.

Judging from the current situation, those who could eat their portions were relatively talented.

Goburo decided to focus on cultivating these goblins first and then let them teach the others.
