Ian lost the love of his life so suddenly that his mind still refuses to accept that reality. He gave up everything and secluded himself until his mother found him a bride. His one task was to give the family an heir but how can Ian do this when the air he breathes all revolves around the one woman he can never have. However, he finds himself in a predicament and dilema when the new contracted bride is thrust into his life unwittingly... especially, when he finds out that she is more than meets the eye.

Aliya's Shoes

Suzie took a step back as Shelby nodded at her, "Thank you, Suzie."

Shelby turned her attention back to the children who had crowded around them.

She smiled. "Of course, I brought the gifts. They are just right over there and behind you. I know you already saw them." Shelby bent down and ran her index finger across the nose of the little girl who had asked.

"Madam Ruby will hand it to you later." then she turned to all of them,

"Yes, I kept my promise and came back. I always do, don't I?"

"YES! YOU DO!" the children shouted.

Shelby went on her knees and hugged a couple of them.

"I am so proud that you stayed good!"

Shelby stayed in that position and patiently answered all the eager questions from the small voices thrown at her, her smile never faltering.

Suzie and Ruby watched on in the back.

"Miss is really good with them!" Suzie sighed while Ruby nodded.
