His one task was to give the family an heir but how can Ian do this when the air he breathes all revolves around the one woman he can never have. However, he finds himself in a predicament and dilema when the new contracted bride is thrust into his life unwittingly... especially, when he finds out that she is more than meets the eye.

Aliya's Shoes

Just moments earlier in the receiving area ….

Aliya felt her heart tremble at what she deemed was blatant disrespect by Samantha. Her little girl from two years ago had not been like that. Back then, Samantha had been the most respectful girl that Aliya could ever have, and she had seen her mother as her world! What happened?!

She clenched her hands and even forgot about her audience for a little while,

"Young lady! I am not done talking-"

However, when Samantha interrupted her for a second time, her eyes narrowed as she thought, 'No, that can't be!'

Aliya's mouth fell open at the next words that her eldest daughter said to her.

"Didn't you say that you were going to stay here? So why should I listen to this talk now? You can find me when you settle in later!"
