Chapter 37 First Encounter with the Bee Queen
"Ha ha, okay, let's go."
Xiao Zhe and Xu Hua took the lead and entered the dense fog outside the playground.
Once the group of about 20-30 people entered the fog, the fog receded behind them.
Turning left out of the playground's main gate leads to the campus residential and academic areas, while turning right leads up a mountain road.
About 50 meters from the playground is the school library, located on a small hillside, which is part of the foot of Biyun Mountain.
The main road to Biyun Mountain is not here.
Xiao Zhe led the team towards the library.
"They said they were going to Biyun Mountain, why are they heading to the library?"
Chen Fei muttered.
Yang Xiao thought for a moment and said:
"Is Biyun Mountain so easy to venture into? As long as we can hunt Mutated Creatures around the school and acquire Genetic Fragments, it's all the same wherever we are."
Chen Lu nodded and added:
"The area around the library is surrounded by woods, usually home to various insects, ants, birds, and beasts; everyone be cautious."
While they were talking, the group led by Xiao Zhe upfront suddenly roared loudly, engaging in a fight with some Mutated Creatures.
Yang Xiao took a distant look, seeing that in Xiao Zhe's team, there were five or six people who could cast Fireball, Ice Ball, and Lightning, all with a casting distance of over 3 meters, just like the current Chen Fei and Chen Lu.
"These are all Mages!"
Yang Xiao sighed inwardly.

Xiao Zhe instructed to gather up the Mutated Frog's body and continued forward with the group.
All along the way, Xiao Zhe and his team vigorously besieged various small Mutated Animals on the broad road, while Yang Xiao and others couldn't even pick up scraps following behind.
Passing a fork in the road, Chen Fei said:
"Boss, this path leads to the college swimming pool, and it's flanked by small woods on both sides. There should be Mutated Creatures, but not too many, just right for us to fight."
"Alright, let's take this path."
The group of five entered the path and had only walked about five or six meters when they heard a buzzing sound—dozens of wasps came flying over, led by one huge golden wasp.

"Boss, be careful, this wasp can spray Poison Liquid, highly toxic!"
Yang Xiao was intently fighting the golden wasp, his longsword constantly changing directions to strike at it. The golden wasp, knowing it couldn't squarely confront Yang Xiao, dodged left and right, looking for an opportunity to strike.
Yang Xiao, with a clear view, noticed a 20-centimeter-long black sting at the tail of the golden wasp, as thick as the chopsticks used for eating. Being stung by it would likely mean a swift death.
Yang Xiao attacked ferociously, not giving the golden wasp a moment to breathe, shouting loudly:
"I'll handle the Bee Queen, you guys hurry up and deal with those small wasps, then come over and help."
Hearing this, Dai Yun and the others immediately sped up their attacks.
Dai Yun's arms and legs had mutated, allowing her to easily leap over 4 to 5 meters, fierce and aggressive.
With her acting as a meat shield to attract the wasps, Chen Fei, Chen Lu, and Feifei could easily execute their attacks.
Minutes later, over ten mutated wasps were dealt with, dropping three Genetic Fragments.
Seeing the tide turning, the golden Bee Queen spewed a stream of green Poison Liquid at Yang Xiao. As he dodged, it seized the moment to escape into the dense fog.
Yang Xiao, in a rush to pursue, was held back by Dai Yun.
"Boss, keep your cool. The fog hides various Mutated Creatures. We can only advance step by step."
Yang Xiao took a deep breath, calmed down, slung his arm around Dai Yun's shoulder and patted her buttock, saying:
"You're right, I was too hasty."
Yang Xiao treated Dai Yun purely as a comrade-in-arms, forgetting she was a girl.
Dai Yun's face flushed red when Yang Xiao patted her butt.
Chen Fei and the others saw this and burst into laughter.
Yang Xiao quickly said:
"Sorry, I forgot you were girls."

Yang Xiao gave an embarrassed smile and hurriedly explained:
"Not at all. I just got carried away with the fight and forgot."
In fact, apart from Feifei being somewhat plump and plain, Chen Fei and the others weren't ugly; they just paled in comparison to beauties like Qin Yu.
Seeing Chen Fei and the others' indignant expressions, Yang Xiao added:

He felt the sword move slightly as if something was entangled on it. Upon closer inspection, a strand of white thread was wrapped around the black blade.
Startled, Yang Xiao pulled hard on the Longsword, feeling a strong force pulling back. With another heave, he felt like he was slowly dragging something out of the fog, reminiscent of fishing.
"Everyone, be alert!"
Yang Xiao shouted lowly and continued to pull back the Longsword. After a moment, a basin-sized dark object with several fuzzy long legs was pulled out from the fog.
Chen Fei and the others, being girls, were inevitably startled and nervous at the sight of such a creature. For a moment, they were dumbstruck, unsure of what to do.
Yang Xiao quickly shouted,
"What are you dawdling for, don't you recognize a spider? Attack!"
