“Daniel! Wake up! Beth’s alternate personality is awake! We need to keep an eye on her,” I whispered as I shook the younger vampire awake. “Come help me wake up Rylan so we can see what she’s up to.” 


He opened his eyes. His red hair was messy, and he looked very youthful. Daniel seemed disoriented at first, but he quickly got dressed once he realized what I was saying. 


It was the middle of the night, and I was keeping tabs on Beth, waiting for her alter ego to make an appearance. It had been a while since she’d changed, and I knew it would come soon enough. I just had to be patient. This is the first time that her personality has switched since I’d been watching for it. We needed to take advantage of the situation while we could. 


Daniel helped me wake up Rylan. It was always difficult to get him out of bed. I felt guilty since he needed his sleep, but this was too important. I needed to study Beth’s actions when she was in this state in order to know her better.
