I crouched and snuck into the laboratory. We quickly walked through a white, deserted hallway and soon found a room with a bunch of products. When I turned around, I was met with my sister's smug expression. Crap!


Elisa had her own team of police officers behind her. 


“Well, Beth. I would never pegged you for the kind of person to trespass illegally,” she said in a snarky tone. My palms began to sweat. 


One of Zed’s subordinates stepped forward to reply when one of Elisa’s police officers bit his neck. He was drained of his blood and died instantly. It all happened in a blink of an eye. Suddenly, we were surrounded by other low-level vampires.


“Do you like my loyal dogs, Beth?” my sister asked me with a sinister smile. “They’re addicted to the Russell Group's drugs, and will do anything I tell them. They are the reason we can easily cover up our illegal organ trades.”


I studied her greedy face. The glint in her eye angered me beyond belief.
