Chapter 32 : It’s a Trap

*Amaya*

It took about three days for us to get to Whiteburn Mountain. King Orion of Sunfall Coast arrived before we did and established the meeting site at an old abandoned manor that was nestled in the foothills.

Wren, ever the paranoid, set up our camp about a mile north of the manor. We were deep in the woods, guarded by the thick canopy of evergreens. It was nice to be away from the snow. I’d almost forgotten that the snow had melted by this time of year when you weren’t in the middle of the mountains of Shadowguard.

I remember once as a child, my father brought me to the mountain and I was so impressed with it. It was the tallest mountain I had ever seen. Now after living in Shadowguard, this mountain looked like a hill. I spent most of my time wondering how the hell it got its name, surely the person who named it never saw an actual mountain.
