Chapter 49 : My Alpha

Tynan walked toward the door, stopped, and then turned toward me. He had a curious look on his face, a strange mixture of happy and apprehensive. I was intrigued.

“Your friend, Jessa?” he began and then paused. He shook his head as if he was telling himself no but I wasn’t going to drop it. I was too invested.

“Yes?” I said sweetly with a smile. I tried to be cool and not ruin anything but my smile was giving me away. I couldn’t help it, I really wanted them to end up together.

He smiled to himself and then cleared his throat. “Is… is she single?”

“Yes, she is.” I was smiling like an idiot. “Why do you ask?”

“Oh, no reason,” he said playfully as he left the room before I could follow up.

I assumed he wouldn’t go to training that morning, he didn’t know where it was. I waited a few minutes in case he came back to ask where it was but he never did. I hoped that he was looking for Jessa.
