Chapter 18 : Focus On What You Want

Timing does not seem to be on Mia’s side. Ever since she decided to have a serious conversation with Elon about their relationship, suddenly every opportunity to do so slips through her hands like grains of sand.

Mia does inform Elon of the gossip, and both agree to be more careful, especially while they are both at the mansion. Because of this, they’re hardly ever in the same room together while she’s working.

On one hand, it’s the most productive that Mia’s been in ages, but on the other, she can’t help but look for him in every shadow, every noise.

They still have the apartment, which is going just as smoothly as ever…except for the fact that Elon is hardly ever there. When he is, it’s late at night, or he’s in the office surrounded by enough paperwork to make Mia nervous just by looking at it.
