Chapter 589: You Must Compensate Me Double
"Looks like you finally got your way," Erina murmured softly, resting her head against Hachiman's chest after their intense exercise.
"Yeah, I finally did," Hachiman replied with a gentle smile, looking down at the girl in his arms, her face still flushed with a captivating redness. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the forehead.
"You worked hard, Erina. Get some rest now."
It was already ten o'clock at night, and the two of them had been at it for two hours straight—a significant drain on Erina's stamina.
Though she had exceptional endurance compared to most girls, it was no match for Hachiman's seemingly endless energy.
Against his bottomless reservoir of strength, even Erina, with her well-trained physique, couldn't keep up. By the end, she was begging for mercy, yet Hachiman hadn't let up.
"Beast…"
She muttered the word softly in complaint before exhaustion overtook her. Closing her eyes, Erina quickly drifted off into a deep sleep.
After tucking the blanket over the sleeping Erina, Hachiman quietly got out of bed.
When Erina had first entered his room, he had sent Alice a text message, asking her not to come over for the time being. After all, if the two sisters encountered each other, the situation would have been far too chaotic to handle.
Now that Erina was sound asleep, Hachiman knew he couldn't rest yet. He had finished tending to one, but another was still waiting for him.
Exiting the room, the house was silent—it was already past ten o'clock, and most of the Nakiri household had retired for the night.
Except for…
Arriving at Alice's door, Hachiman didn't knock. Instead, he took out his phone and sent her a text.
Less than a minute after the message was sent, the door clicked open, revealing Alice's radiant face from behind it.
The moment she saw Hachiman, her face lit up, and she threw herself into his arms with excitement.
"Hachiman-kun, you're finally here!"
Holding Alice in his arms, Hachiman stepped into the room and casually closed the door behind him.
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's okay. I'm just happy you came," Alice replied with a cheerful smile, showing not even the slightest hint of annoyance.
Alice's thoughts were actually quite simple, reflecting her straightforward and childlike personality—something that was evident even in the original story.
Now, with her full attention and affection focused on Hachiman, it was only natural for her to prioritize him above all else.
"Mm… Hachiman-kun, why does your scent seem so familiar? It's like…"
At that moment, Alice's nose twitched slightly, catching a hint of a familiar aroma.
"Ah, I remember now—it's Erina's scent!" she exclaimed.
Even without the so-called "God's Nose," as a professional chef, Alice's sense of smell was far sharper than most. Plus, having spent so much time with Erina, she was naturally very familiar with her cousin's scent.
The fact that Alice had picked up on it didn't surprise Hachiman much. Raising an eyebrow, he decided there was no point in hiding it and responded honestly:
"That's right, it is Erina's scent."
Hearing this, Alice immediately pouted unhappily.
"So, Erina came to see you earlier, didn't she? You two just…"
Hachiman, showing no guilt, nodded without hesitation. "That's right. She came to find me, and I… well, I ate her up."
"Mm…"
Although Alice had long expected this day to come, actually hearing it left her feeling a little upset.
But after a moment, a sly grin crept into her thoughts.
So what if Erina did that with Hachiman? I was way ahead of her. This time, she's the one who lost.
Though secretly pleased, Alice's eyes suddenly sparkled with mischief. Putting on a slightly aggrieved expression, she said,
"Then, Hachiman-kun, you'd better make it up to me properly!"
It had to be said, girls were natural actresses, and Hachiman didn't realize the "grievance" on Alice's face was all part of her act. Instead, he played along, asking curiously:
"So, Alice, how do you want me to compensate you?"
"Hmph! However many times you and Erina just did it, you'll have to double that for me!" Alice puffed up her cheeks slightly, her small nose turned up in a playful, adorable manner.
"Alright, but don't go begging for mercy later, Alice," Hachiman said with a smirk, reaching out to pinch her delicate nose lightly. His mischievous grin deepened.
"But first, Alice, why don't you get a taste of your sister's scent?"
As an experienced "player," Alice naturally understood the meaning behind his words. A hint of shyness appeared on her face as she gave him a playful, flirtatious glance.
"Hachiman-kun, you're so bad!"
With those words, she slowly knelt down in front of him, her movements deliberate and graceful.
...
The next morning, after breakfast, Hachiman got into the car and left the Nakiri family estate.
Although reluctant to see him go, Erina understood that Hachiman couldn't stay at the Nakiri household forever.
Besides, everything that needed to be done had already been taken care of, and this left her feeling reassured and content.
As for Alice, she was nowhere to be seen during breakfast, still sprawled out in bed.
Considering how much she had "eaten" the previous night, it wasn't surprising she wasn't hungry this morning.
Last night, the ever-accommodating Hachiman had, of course, fulfilled Alice's request to double the "compensation." Six rounds in total, and despite her pleas for mercy, he didn't stop until two or three in the morning, finally letting the thoroughly exhausted girl rest.
After ensuring Alice was rehydrated and had regained some strength, Hachiman returned to his room. After all, Erina was still sleeping there, and he wasn't the type to "put his pants on and deny responsibility."
When Erina woke up that morning, she naturally found herself nestled in Hachiman's arms. A moment of disorientation hit her as memories of the previous day rushed back.
Looking at her beloved so close, Erina's face lit up with a happy smile. Unable to resist, she reached out to gently caress his face.
Feeling the faint touch on his face, Hachiman stirred awake.
Even though he had gone to bed at past three in the morning, there was no trace of fatigue in his expression. With his current level of endurance, he could easily go days without sleep if needed.
Seeing the girl in his arms, Hachiman's face softened into a gentle smile. Leaning in, he placed a light kiss on her forehead.
"Good morning, Erina."
"Mm, good morning, Hachiman," Erina replied with a radiant smile, her expression glowing with warmth.
...
Around 10 a.m., Hachiman arrived back at his house.
Opening the door, he noticed that Komachi wasn't home—she was probably out having fun somewhere.
With nothing better to do, Hachiman decided to start writing the Fate series. The Fate series, in his view, was relatively straightforward, mainly focusing on introducing the concepts of the Holy Grail and Servants. Because of this, he didn't plan to make it too lengthy.
The Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars could each be written as standalone short novels, with 300,000 characters per story being more than enough to flesh them out.
With the idea set in his mind, he immediately got to work. Before long, the sound of typing filled Hachiman's room as he poured his thoughts into words.
