Lou and Kate escapes

Kiara's POV

If the truth talks, I am not. I am just a normal employee having a bad day and I was pressured by the standards of society when death took my head and I was reborn in a fantasy world.

I can't tell him that. I sigh. "Of course it's normal to feel such things, but it's better to fight rather than tremble in a corner. I want to save this kingdom for its people and for our family as well," I replied.

He raises his head and I admit that Enrico is beautiful and he has this charisma that can seduce a woman. I don't know if I should be happy because this woman's body was married to him or if I should be afraid because I'm falling for someone who doesn't exist in my reality.

"You're right. I will make sure that I'll do my best as well and protect this kingdom using my strength and power. Let's go to bed. I know you're tired yourself."

I grab his hand and drag him with me. I don't care if this world is a dream or a fantasy. I will indulge in my desires and enjoy the life that I have.

I pushed him into bed and laid down beside him. I grab his arms and use them as a pillow, then face him. I nestled my face in his chest, put my other leg between his thighs and embraced him.

"Let me cuddle you until I fall asleep. You should sleep either way. I'm sure Emperor Luciel will talk to you as early as dawn breaks," I remark. I closed my eyes and didn't see his reaction. I just wish I would sleep in just a few minutes!

This morning was already jinx. I woke up and he's not beside me. I brush my teeth, fix the bed, and then go downstairs. The maids told me that they're in the garden, even the prince and our children. I was approaching them when Sam and Markus arrived in such a hurry.

I stopped just a few meters from them. "Bad news, your majesty and Lord Enrico! We followed your instructions and on our way to that house, the owner said that Lady Lou and Lady Kate weren't there anymore!" Markus reported. My eyes dilated. The fuck!

I approach them and Sam notices my arrival. "Greetings to Duchess Kiara," he says. I simply nod and speak.

"Did they escape? Did the owner tell you when it happened, or did they tell him that they're leaving that mansion?" I ask. I told that owner to keep an eye on them and tell me when they're acting strange. Damn it!

"The owner says that none of them even talk to him for days and they've escaped before dawn breaks. That's his intuition and by the looks of it, they did," Sam replied.

My jaw clenched. I hope the secret guards were there last night. I told them to follow those two wherever they went. My palm turns into a fist. I was about to speak when a dove suddenly landed on my shoulder.

I notice that there's a small bag around its body. I opened it and found a letter. I read it. "We followed them and they're heading into the famous Mist Mountain on the east border."

East border? Why are they heading to that place? Wait a second. I remember the book I read in Enrico's place. It's about the geography and history of this kingdom. That misty mountain is not just known for the thick mist that is covering the mountain.

It was said that different dangerous animals were also living there. I look around and notice the coal they're using for the tea. I grab one and start writing my reply. "Follow them secretly."

I put it back in the dove's bag and sent it off. "What is that?" Enrico asks. I took a seat and told them what I did after I went to their place and had a battle against Lou.

"I'm glad those men were there last night but why? Don't tell me they're heading to where Kate's dad is," I utter.

The empress shook her head and shared her hunch. "I don't think so. That place is dangerous for them because of the other supernatural animals that are too much for them to handle. But there's a route in that area that you can use to travel," Empress iviane pauses and her eyes dilated. I feel like she realizes something. She closed her eyes and that answers my question after all.

"This is bad. There's a chance that Arcel formed an alliance with the werewolf clan. Mist Mountain is another secret route if you want to spy on that kingdom. There's also another way that leads to a mountain that is known for having several caves and the trees are tall and abundant with animals that they can eat," Emperor Luciel remarked. I know the first one is very plausible.

"Markus and Sam, just continue making the plan for the training. At the same time, send the generals to the eight border gates and make sure that they have enough soldiers to guard the gates and be ready for possible battles," Enrico says. I notice the dark and serious expression that my husband shows. I lean on my chair.

"Can I ask if we have bad blood with the dragon and witch kingdom?" I stated. They looked at me and were surprised by my question. I held my chin and thought

"If they form an alliance with the vampire and werewolf kingdoms, then we have to make an alliance too. The witch was strong enough and their magic will be lethal for the wolves and vampires. As for the dragons, their magic is also strong and they also have strong bodies," I stated.

I look at them. "I am asking the emperor and empress's permission to negotiate with them. I will try to convince them or even ask for their help. No. I'll make sure that we'll be allies with these two powerful kingdoms," I added.

The empress looked at me and I knew she noticed that I wasn't joking. Enrico looks at me and he's trying to stop me from doing what I just said. I shook my head.

"Please, let me do something. The empress will take care of the evacuation plans and I want to participate as well. I know I can do this. For the future of the younger generations," I remark. I look at Viciel and my kids.

The emperor sighs and looks at me with such serious face. "Then, when are you planning to leave if I agree with your plan, sister-in-law?" the emperor asks
