29. Late-Night Phone Call

Shaga tasted like trash, he was panting all the time when he returned home. The pain hit him here and there as if someone had just hit him with a blunt object very hard. Shaga fell before he could reach his room, choking up as if someone was forcibly breathing out of the lung cavity.

What happened?

The question was spinning in Shaga's head, the horrifying image of pain and being home alone made him groan. Shaga remembers very well that he did not have any history of illness that could make him fall flat on the floor. His body was too cold to endure it all, until inside his mouth only felt like swallowing a lot of blood because biting the inside of his cheek was too hard. Shaga clutched his hair, he lay on the cold floor in almost a circle.

Nothing had happened before, Shaga was sure of that. Garvin's threats about his mother couldn't possibly affect Shaga in the way he does now, he could deal with it. But so what? Where does the pain come from?
