Upon exiting the elevator and turning a corner, they arrived at the banquet hall.
The spacious and well-lit hall could accommodate hundreds of people. Roman crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling and velvet carpets covered the floor. A large area was set aside for a display stage for the upcoming auction, and dozens of round tables draped with lacy white tablecloths were arranged below. Several large cameras were set up around the room, and numerous reporters were busy snapping photos. It was clear that tonight's event would be covered entirely by a television station.
As Helen Blair, Amelia Walker, and Ruby Carter entered the hall, the leading organizer of the event, Mrs. Gao from Ming Building Real Estate, welcomed them with a wide smile and her assistant by her side.
In her forties, Mrs. Gao was incredibly passionate about hosting banquets, and she was the primary organizer for almost every annual charity dinner.
