Helen Blair went alone to a Japanese restaurant located in midtown Brookside.
She did not let James Anderson know about this appointment, because she did not want him to come along, and she did not want him to know the content of their conversation.
As soon as she entered, a woman in kimono greeted her with a smile and asked if she had a reservation. Helen Blair mentioned the other person's full name. The woman, taking small steps, led her to a private room.
As the door of the private room opened, there was a young man in a light grey suit kneeling beside a low table. The man was in his early twenties with phoenix eyes, short hair, well-defined features, and good-looking. Hearing the sound, he turned his head and looked at Helen Blair with a slight smile, his mouth turning up into a pleasing curve.
He reached out his hand and made a gentlemanly gesture of invitation.
