Chapter 147: Vanishing Into Thin Air

In the prison's visiting room.

Helen Blair was seated next to a table, waiting. Soon, the door opened, and Helen turned her head to see Yas, who was walked in wearing handcuffs.

Helen was taken aback slightly.

Yas had changed a lot. His hair was cut extremely short, revealing his entire face. His face was pale and haggard, yet his handsomeness could still not be concealed. However, his usual eerie charm had been replaced by a forlorn decadence, the kind of trait that is able to elicit a woman's maternal sympathy. Of course, this could not affect Helen.

He had lost weight. His loose prison uniform seemed empty on his body. Parts that were showing, like his wrists and neck, were scarred, some new, some old.

"Yas." Helen called out, standing up.

Now that she had returned everything to him, neither owed the other anything. Her emotions wouldn't be as tumultuous as before when facing him.
