Not long after ending the call with Mike, the servant came upstairs to call her for dinner.

Helen was reluctant to face those people, but after some thought, she went downstairs anyway.

This was her home, was she supposed to hide from them?

When she arrived at the dining room, she saw Amelia Walker had already returned, taking care of Reuben Carter while he ate. Reuben was playing happily with a new toy, seemingly having forgotten the unpleasantness of the afternoon.

Helen sat down, and it wasn't long before Ruby Carter and Sebastian Carter came in, having changed their clothes.

"Back already?" Sebastian glanced at Helen as he sat down, his expression indifferent.

Helen responded with a hum.

"I've read your investigation report. You've done a good job. I didn't expect you to be so capable," Sebastian said coldly.

"Thank you for the compliment, Dad!" Helen replied with a smile.

Ruby snorted coldly beside her, "Hypocrite."
