"Mrs. Carter, were you beaten by your husband?" A reporter noticed the injuries on her face and called out.

Amelia Walker hurriedly covered her face, "No, no," she hid behind Ruby Carter.

The reporters were not going to let her off easily. They chased after her with their cameras, forcing her to reveal the wounds on her face.
