In the box, Helen Blair and Evelyn Martin sat across from each other, with a skilled tea master in Tang costume brewing tea for them. When the tea was nearly ready, Evelyn turned to the tea master and said, "You can go first."

The tea master nodded with a smile and cleaned up his stuff before leaving the box.

Helen Blair lowered her head slightly, looking at the golden gilded purple clay teapot on the table. The chrysanthemum pattern on the teapot was lifelike, and the heat from the spout wafted out, slowly fading, leaving behind the fragrance of the tea in waves.

Evelyn Martin quietly observed Helen Blair sitting before her. This was the second time she had seen her; the first was at a birthday banquet, where there were so many guests that she hadn't been able to get a clear look at Helen Blair, only vaguely remembering her as a woman who wasn't particularly eye-catching.
