Just when the meeting was at an impasse, Brian, who had remained silent all along, suddenly spoke.
He sat back in his chair, his dark blue eyes sweeping over everyone, his expression cold and arrogant. He slowly began, "How about we allow President Carter to retain the position of Chairman, but assign the position of President to someone else?" His left hand sat on the conference table, his long white fingers lightly tapping on the table. The golden buttons on his sleeves shimmered mysteriously as he moved.
"In fact, both the Chairman and the General Manager are key positions and should not be held by one person at the same time. Afterall, a person's capacity is limited, and it is impossible to handle such numerous tasks concurrently. Splitting the two positions apart seems to be a wise decision."
Brian was not aligned with any faction, and his words were reasonable and logical, therefore it gained immediate acceptance from everyone.
