At the restaurant
The sound of the guzheng floated like clouds and flowing water, palace lanterns emanated bright light all around, and a faint aroma of dishes pervaded the air.
Helen Blair tasted nothing of her food; she sat there and casually chatted with Oliver Hoffman. Her attention, however, was constantly pulled toward the table not far away. Oliver noticed it, but pretended not to know and continued their conversation.
While chatting, Helen's vision suddenly dimmed, and James Anderson's voice rang in her ears simultaneously,
"Helen, long time no see. How are you?"
The voice was soft and gentle.
Helen's heart trembled slightly, and she slowly raised her head.
She saw James Anderson standing next to their table, with his eyes dark and deep, like the endless night.
Helen took a deep breath and showed a calm smile at him, "James, I didn't expect to meet you here."
