A faint sense of loss rose in her heart.
She forcibly suppressed this feeling of loss, and told herself that there was nothing wrong.
After a while, President Campbell's assistant, Lucas Cooper, came in. The buyers who were having idle chat unanimously stopped and turned to look at him.
Lucas smiled and said: "President Campbell has roughly reviewed the acquisition plans of all of you. He said he would take some time to consider, and will give everyone an answer in ten days. His health isn't great, so he won't meet with everyone one by one. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope for your understanding!"
The buyers all knew about Isaac Campbell's health problems, otherwise, he wouldn't be in such a hurry to sell Serpent River. So even though they were all major companies and institutions, no one found it strange. Seeing that there was nothing much to do, they all got up to say goodbye.
Helen Blair and Oliver Hoffman also got up to prepare to leave.
