Chapter 328: Tranquil Happiness_2

Helen Blair glanced at him, turned around to instruct the gatekeeper to let her car in, and then invited Oliver Hoffman in.

One in the front and one in the back, they crossed the forecourt in silence. They entered the house, and Helen had intended to have Oliver sit in the hall. But Oliver suggested, "I'd like to talk to you alone, may we go to your study?" He glanced at the servants in the hall as he spoke.

"My study is over here." For some reason, warmth flushed over Helen's face.

Helen's study was the one previously used by Sebastian Carter, originally private to Samuel Blair.

After entering, Helen invited Oliver to sit on the sofa. She instructed the housemaid to bring in tea, then sat across from Oliver.

Once the housemaid prepared everything and left, Oliver got up and moved to sit beside Helen.

Helen looked at him but did not move, her head lowered and silent.

"Helen... I know you prefer men like James Anderson…"
