Chapter 345: Not Easy

In the room, only a single table lamp was lit, casting a dim glow that enveloped the two people on the bed.

The sound of the roaring waves outside the window went on and on, like a slow and melodious tune, drowning out all the noise of the world.

Helen Blair raised her head and looked at the lamp in front of her. Her long hair hung beside her face, reflecting a faint glow that made her face appear exceptionally gentle. Brian looked at her face, his heart softening, wishing time could forever stand still at this moment.

He held onto her hand tightly.

Helen felt it and turned to look at him. Her deep black eyes shimmered with an enchanting sheen,

"Brian, I can understand how you feel..." she whispered softly. "But you can't just think about yourself, you know..."

Helen broke free from his grip, got up, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling glass window.
