Helen Blair looked up at Oliver Hoffman with a smile
Oliver hugged her tighter and whispered softly, "Well, how about this? I'll devote everything I have to keep the flames of our relationship burning, and you be the steady stream to maintain the warmth of our love. We will strive together so our love both intensely burns and lasts forever. I want you to be eager to return to me each day, and once you are with me, you won't even wish to leave. I want to bless you with sweetness and happiness for the rest of your life."
His voice was rich and gentle, like an unseen silk thread, coiling around her heart again and again, wrapping it tightly. Its grip alternated in tension, making her heart feel weak and tender.
But it felt sweet.
"Oliver, why are you so kind to me? What do you like about me? I've always treated you poorly." Helen asked.
Oliver raised his eyebrows and touched his nose, acting in a weird manner, "Well, you could say… maybe I'm just a fool for love?"
