No more dangerous things

Emmaline paced the length of the hospital corridor, ignoring the dull ache from her various injuries.

Dr Bernard had decided to keep her overnight due to the high likelihood of a concussion. 

But that was the most serious of her injuries. 

The bruises and cuts would heal in time. 

"Baby!" Sera rushed around the corner, her blue eyes frantic. Taylor was right behind her.

"Mom?" Emmaline didn't even have time to say more, her mother engulfed her in a hug that had her staggering back a step. 

"I'm so glad you're safe," Sera held Emmaline tightly, "Are you hurt? What did the doctor say?"

"How did you even know I was here?" Emmaline was bewildered, her mind working sluggishly. 

Ashton's back up had taken them to a private hospital and as far as Emmaline knew, only those invited had its location. 

"Mr and Mrs Wright picked us up and sent us here," Taylor filled in the gaps, "Mom you're not supposed to get too worked up.
