His whole body ached as it had never ached before. He remembered the beatings, the injections, not being able to shift. They had surprised him as he made ready to meet with Armetus at the Main Palace Estate. The first thing he had seen was the injector in the hand of the Evolli as it stabbed down into his shoulder.
