Jane-Anne's POV

I was surprised when Maddy told me she wanted to be partners with me all of a sudden. I have worked with her for almost five months and she hasn't made me believe she wanted a spot by my side in business. Out of the blue she came up with this really good idea. But why will she only give me the money if I agree to accept her request, I felt guilty that moment,and I decided to ask her why. Her answer to my question was a long and honest NO and I believed her,but what does she really want then?

I watched her mouth intently,wanting to hear what other option she wants to offer, She told me to drop her punishment,I mean she even attempted to bribe me with some money because She doesn't want to apologize to that young man.

I couldn't hold my laughter in,after I finished laughing,I refused her request. I refused it because I'm starting to feel like it's a challenge... I want to know if she'll obey me or not,and that only depends on if the man ever comes back. I wondered why Maddy is reluctant to apologizing to this particular man,yes I know she doesn't like apologies but this particular one seemed like a big deal,and I want to know why.. I must know why. I went back to my section and sat on my seat. I studied Maddy from there with my side eye,and I could see she was frowning .. Her face looked funny. I smiled to myself,because something interesting will be happening soon and I can't wait for it! It all depends on when this young man shall come though. I sat back,and started writing on my sales book,trying to balance the sales we've had during the week days .

Maddy's POV

I was feeling alot of emotions at that moment,Anger,pain of being rejected,disappointment, I was sad. I have tried to make her forgive me,so I won't not carryout my punishment but all to no avail. I decided it was time to finally give up,before I make matters worse than it already is.. I frowned. I have no choice,but to obey her.

Some constumers came in to buy ice cream, few bought coffee.. I was busy from twelve till two thirty in the afternoon.

Around that time,I was feeling drowsy. There were no customers around to tend to,i decided to rest. I laid on the chair,on my back in a sleeping position. If someone should come by the counter,they'd see me,and I'd see them because I was behind the counter. My head was facing up. I felt a bit relaxed,and was just breathing the air calmly,as I watched out for any new customer.

Jane-Anne was inside the shop too,she was busy doing something probably cleaning... I don't know. We haven't spoken since she rejected my offer,she was there and well I was here.

I shut my eyes for a bit... Just then He walked in,and came by the counter.. I saw him,he was wearing a dark suit with a black tie,he looked exquisite and very handsome. I got up and stood behind the counter,I was so happy inside,I smiled at him and asked him what he wanted,I wasn't looking him,I was shy,I was looking at my hands on the counter. He said he wanted two things.. I waited for him to say them,I could sense he was staring at me and that made me feel more nervous. Jane-Anne wasn't around when he came in,I was a bit happy because I won't have to apologize to him today

He said he wanted a mint chocolate Ice-cream,and also told that he will be at table no. 6. A table at the corner of the shop where people hardly sat,because it had a dim appearance. I wondered why he wanted to sit there,i gave it no much thought though. I asked him what the second thing he wanted was. He told me he'd tell me,when I bring his Ice-cream to him. Then he left the counter and went to the table no. 6.

I scooped the Ice-cream into a plastic cone,and placed it on a small tray which we use to serve Ice-cream to the customers that preferred eating in the shop.

I carried the tray to him,and placed it on the table.

Maddy: Here Sir... what is the other thing that you want?

He was staring at me intently,and I wondered why. I turned my face down,looking at my feet. Then I heard him say "You" . You? What is you? I raised my head to look at him because I was confused

Maddy: You? I'm sorry Sir,I'm afraid I don't know what you mean
