Into the distance

Just when Kini and Abisai left the building together, their departure was abruptly interrupted by Hebrews rushing out to meet them.

He walked past them to open the car doors for his boss, but Abisai halted him with a raised hand. "I'll go alone, Hebrew. No need to drive me," Abisai insisted firmly, in avoidance of the pending secret to be revealed to Hebrew, with a sense of determination shining in his eyes.

Hebrew politely nodded, stepping back slightly to allow Abisai to proceed on his own.

As Abisai drove away, Hebrew couldn't help but feel a sense of unease gnawing at him, a premonition of the storm that loomed on the horizon.

Could it have been his boss won't need him any more?" he asked himself. With a heavy heart, he watched Abisai disappear into the distance, knowing that the path ahead would be fraught with peril and uncertainty.
