Chapter 10: Her identity
Andrea paused for a while and almost laughed “ Who said he was dead?' She wondered what the father of her child's expression would be like after hearing this.
”Anyways, the bastard that impregnated me did deserve it. I will accept his condolences” she thought.
“ Thank you for your condolences,” she nodded.
“ It's so late Are you with anyone?”he asked her.
She shook her head “ I was waiting for a cab” she replied calmly.
“ er…. I'll drop you off ” he said and Andrea stared at him.
“ Come on, I don't have any bad intentions towards you. I'm a good guy besides you are pregnant. Aren't I putting myself in a bigger problem? I mean I have to provide food for two ” he said with a straight face.
Andrea laughed, '' not two for three,” she said with a smile.
“ Oh, you mean you are having twins? ” He asked and she nodded.
” Wow, that's such great news. I hope to have twins too in the future, ” he said as he led the way to his car.
He did look like a decent man. After all, she wasn't sure she was going to get a taxi. So she followed behind him willingly.
After she got in, he extended his hands forward “ I'm Jacob Jones, the CEO and founder of JJ entertainment, ” he said.
” I'm Andrea “ she replied and shook hands with him.
“ Your hands are so soft ” he mistakenly blurted out his thoughts loudly.
Andrea's cheeks turned slightly red and luckily he didn't take note “ Thanks,” she said.
She knew about JJ entertainment back then when she was still studying in America. She was so flattered when he complimented her just now.
He asked for her home address and she gave it to him.
” So why were you crying a while ago? “ he asked, his gaze fixated on the road. Andrea froze for a short while before shaking her head ” no no I wasn't crying “ she lied.
” Really your eyes were slightly red and there were dry tears at the corner of your eyes, “ Jacob said.
She quickly touched her cheeks and she heard him chuckling.
” Just kidding but I have gotten the truth from my little joke. So tell me what's wrong?" he said.
” I..I it's a long story “ she replied sadly.
” then I would love to hear it for another day. Input your digits here “ he said, passing his phone to her.
She was stunned but nevertheless, she punched in her number into the phone.
” Then what were you doing in the opening? “ he asked.
” Oh, I used to work there, “ she said cheerlessly.
” used to?“ he was no fool, he was able to grasp the key points in her words.
” Yeah, I lost my job, “ she said as she nodded.
” I'm sorry about that Andrea ” he said and he stepped on the brakes.
“ Thank you so much for the ride," she said as she got done.
" Bye," he waved at her.
He watched as her figure walked into the building before driving off.
Immediately she came in, she saw Elena running back to the couch.
"Mmm, Andrea, you didn't tell me you have a man you are seeing " Elena said.
“ Oh please stop talking nonsense. Elena I lost my job ” she said and burst into tears.
Elena was caught off guard. She was fine a moment ago. How did it end up this way? She thought.
She went forward and guided her to the sofa. “ What happened? Please calm down and explain ” she sniffed her mucus back and nodded.
She narrated the whole story to Elena with a cracked voice.
“ Oh my, a lot like this happened? I'm sure you were framed by one of your colleagues' ' Elena said sadly.
“ Don't cry, at least your boss didn't call the cops, that would have made everything more complicated. they don't even deserve you over there," she said and Andrea placed her head on her shoulder.
“ So how did you end up in that guy's car? ” Elena asked.
“ You mean Mr Jones? After I was fired, I was deep in thoughts. and I collided into him. and I guess he pitied my condition. That's why he gave me a lift ” she said, wiping her tears.
" Wow! he looks very rich. if I am not mistaking that car is the new Lamborghini limited edition, “ Elena said and Andrea nodded.
“ He's the owner of JJ entertainment, ”
Elena stared at her with bulging eyes " You mean he is the owner of JJ entertainment industry? ” she asked again.
" Uh huh, I will go upstairs to freshen up " Andrea said and proceeded upstairs.

Sean sat at the balcony of his hotel room staring at the night sky while drinking a bottle of red wine.
" Why have I been feeling guilty and sad ever since I fired that lady and why does she look so familiar to me? I must have seen her somewhere. But where? “ He asked no one in particular as he sipped his wine.
He brought out his phone and gave Drew a phone call.
" Get me all the information you can find about Andrea Graham " he ordered and hung up.
“ I guess I will find out soon, ” he mumbled.
The following morning, it had already turned bright and sunny.
At a villa in the suburbs, Jacob Jones was having tea in the living room while his assistant gave him feedback about the event that took place last night.
After he had dropped Andrea, he was no longer in the mood to attend the event. He left his assistant over there to represent his absence.
“ This is so ridiculous. You mean Sean Wilson himself ended up buying the masterpiece jewellery at the rate of 100 million dollars at the auction last night," he repeated what his assistant said.
" Yes sir, in fact everyone was shocked and it was confirmed that the 100 million was transferred into the fundraising account " Assistant Simon said.
Jacob Jones snorted “ that's strange ” he muttered.
“ Sir, are we flying back this afternoon? " assistant Simon asked.
“ No. I would like to explore a little in Australia. It's such a lovely country. I will consider opening another branch over here, ” Jacob said.
" But Sir, you know ...... " Simon was cut off.
“ You are going to say I shouldn't because Shimmers has a branch here in Australia. I'm afraid I am not listening to anyone. He's not the owner of Australia and I can do whatever I want, " he said sternly.

“ You did an amazing job, I'm so proud of you, ” Lachlan said with a light chuckle.
“ You don't need to thank me sir. I don't like Andrea at all, so when you asked me to help I was very glad to do it. I will be expecting my balance ” Daisy said over the phone.
“ I will double the price. You really did a tremendous job, ” he said.
“ Oh my, thank you so much, ” Daisy said happily, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
“ Alright, enjoy. I will hang up now ” he said and cut the call.
He leaned his back on the couch as he whistled a happy tune.

“ Sir, these are all the details of Mrs Andrea Graham from her childhood that I could attain " Drew said, keeping the file on the desk.
Sean took it and flipped it open as he began to go through it.
“ Sir Ms. Andrea was born in Australia in a small clinic in the outskirts. During the time of her delivery, no one except her mother's sister came to see them. After Andrea got to three, her mom abandoned her with her aunt. She was mocked and laughed at among her peers and it began to have a negative effect on her. she started disassociating herself from others. due to this, When she was four, her aunt moved to America with her. That was where she studied and acquired a first class degree. She was the best student of her set. Later on, she went back to the Graham's family and was always labelled as the illegitimate daughter of Lachlan and she was treated poorly. Five months back, her marriage was fixed with her fiance and a night before the wedding she found out her stepsister was pregnant with him. She was mocked and bullied . Later on, it was said that she became pregnant and was thrown out of Graham's family. She's currently squatting with a friend and no one has any clue about the father of the child"
Sean leaned into his seat as he stared at the file with some pictures attached to it. He closed his eyes and the memory of five months ago came flashing across his mind.
He remembered the lady he had spent the night with mentioned that her fiance and sister had betrayed her.
" Is she the same lady that I couldn't seem to forget all this while? And is this why know one knows the identity of the baby's father? He said inwardly.
