"What are you doing here?" Sean inquired, stepping closer to his mother, who was seated on the couch.
"What type of ridiculous question is this? Of course, I came to visit my son and see my granddaughters," she chuckled softly.
Sean's gaze abruptly landed on the suitcase beside her leg. "And this?" he pointed his index finger at it.
"Oh, I will be spending the week here. I want to bond with my grandkids," she replied nonchalantly.
A loud sigh escaped his lips as he massaged his temples. "Mom, please just go back home. I'm going to be busy throughout the week, and I won't have any time to waste on you."
"You don't have to worry about me. I will be busy bonding with my beautiful granddaughters," she said firmly.
"First of all, you can't just come to our house without any notice, and lastly, Pearl and Ruby are just babies. They can't even speak yet. Will you be patient?"
"I don't mind. There are other ways we can bond. Watching them grow up alone is enough for me."
