Test of Trust

"What are you trying to imply? I told you that it must have been because I happened to be the first person that he saw. I was closest to him at the time," I replied as I tried to calm my wildly beating heart.

Bradon was clearly suspicious of me, but I wasn't sure exactly what he was suspicious of. Did he think that I had something to do with his brother's car accident?

"You tell me. Why do you think my brother called out your name like that?" Bradon continued interrogating me like I was some kind of prisoner under arrest.

"Are you trying to imply that I had something to do with Anthony's accident? Are you trying to blame me?" I asked incredulously.

Bradon just stared at me without saying anything. His lack of response only made anger boil up faster inside of me.

It just didn't make any sense that he was treating me like some kind of suspect simply because Anthony called out my name when he regained consciousness. I was certain that I had nothing to do with his accident.
