My Ecopark

Upon returning home in the evening, Yuga couldn't contain his excitement and summoned the system.

"System, tell me quickly how you're going to transform the Ecopark."

[ The main garden of the Ecopark can be designed according to the host ideas. You can share your ideas with the system, and I will transform it based on your requirements. ]

Yuga pondered anxiously, "But I don't know how to design! I've never seen an Ecopark, let alone know how other people gardens are! Without any reference or sample, I'm at a loss!"

The system fell silent for a moment before saying, [ The system can provide several templates for the host! ]

"Really?" Yuga exclaimed.

Soon, Yuga was presented with a holographic screen displaying seven to eight design concepts, all tailored to the layout of his backyard.

[ These are the best designs selected by the system, each of them exceptional ] the system explained.

Yuga felt overwhelmed by the choice between the seven to eight design options. Each one was appealing, but he had to pick just one. Despite not having decision-making difficulties, it wasn't an easy choice.

Finally, Yuga closed his eyes and chose the simplest design. Since the system claimed each design was excellent, the simplest one should be just as good.

[ Host, have you made a selection? If you have, the system will begin the transformation of the Ecopark! ] the system inquired.

With determination, Yuga said, "I've chosen. Let's go with this one. Begin!"

[ Alright, host! ]

Yuga asked cautiously, "System, can I quietly ask how long the transformation of the Ecopark will take?"

Overwhelmed by the thought of having his own Ecopark soon, Yuga excitement was almost too much to contain, and he was finding it hard to keep his composure.

[ Please be patient for 12 hours ] the system replied.

Excitedly, Yuga asked, "So, after 12 hours, I'll be able to see my Ecopark?"

[ Yes, host. ]

His excitement kept Yuga awake throughout the night, leaving him with dark circles under his eyes and a dazed expression the next morning.

As soon as he woke up, Yuga asked absentmindedly, "System, has the 12-hour mark arrived?"

[ Not yet, host! ]

With that, Yuga mechanically prepared for the day and trained with his Pokémon, all the while inattentive. He returned, had breakfast with his Pokémon, managed his store, and interacted with customers, all in a distracted manner during the morning.

Finally, close to noon, the system voice echoed.

[ Host, the transformation of the Ecopark is complete! ]

For Yuga, that voice was like heavenly music. The Ecopark had felt like a "teasing little imp" throughout the morning, testing his patience and causing him to grow frustrated and weary.

Like a gust of wind, Yuga dashed towards the Ecopark. The entrance, sensing his presence, automatically opened its gates. Yuga then got his first full view of the entire Ecopark.

The entrance was located on the east side, with the westernmost point being the farthest. The first thing Yuga noticed was a massive weather tree in the far west. The tree in his store paled in comparison; Yuga speculated that even seven or eight of them together wouldn't match this one.

Although the tree was thick, it wasn't remarkably tall. Its branches spread out densely like a huge umbrella, covering almost a tenth of the entire Ecopark.

According to the system explanation, this colossal weather tree served as the temperature regulation center of the entire main garden.

To the north was a small orchard with a limited number of fruit trees, all common species loved by most Pokémon.

To the south lay a flower field. Although not extensive, it was currently blooming with colorful flowers, vibrant and incredibly beautiful.

The small stream that existed in the backyard had been enclosed within the Ecopark. Although referred to as a "stream," it was more like a shallow brook.

This brook flowed from the west, passed by the weather tree, meandered through the flower field, and finally disappeared into the orchard. Yuga wondered how the system had managed to reshape and redirect the stream while keeping it so clear that he could see its bottom.

The system explained that when the water flowed into the Ecopark from outside, the water circulation system would automatically filter it, ensuring its purity and preventing harmful substances from entering.

The largest area within the entire Ecopark was covered by the grassland.

Yuga touched the verdant grass with his hand and found it incredibly soft to the touch, although he wasn't sure of its specific species. The system mentioned that this type of grass had been carefully selected; it was very soft and effectively prevented scratches on newborn Pokémon.

Yuga thought the system consideration was truly impressive; it had thought of even this detail. Indeed, some Pokémon were extremely fragile when they were born and could get injured accidentally. Such details needed attention.

The system further explained that this grass was highly nutritious and suitable for herbivorous Pokémon like Tauros, Mareep, Miltank, Deerling, Bouffalant, and Skiddo, among others.

Finally, near the entrance of the Ecopark, there was a small storage shed used to store supplies such as Pokéblocks for Pokémon, and Pokémon food.

The system also mentioned that the transparent material surrounding the exterior of the Ecopark had been modified. While it looked unchanged, it could adjust the incoming light from the outside, ensuring a comfortable lighting environment for the Pokémon inside the garden at all times.

Moreover, these transparent materials had robust defensive capabilities; they wouldn't sustain even a hint of damage from attacks by Elite-tier Pokémon.

Yuga was thoroughly impressed by the system advanced technology.

"System, can you secretly tell me how you acquired all these advanced technologies?"

The system calmly replied, [ I apologize, host, but there is no answer to that question in the system database. ]

"Do you at least know how you obtained these advanced technologies?"

[ Apologies, host. Each Gold Finger severs all previous connections upon being acquired by a traveler and focuses solely on serving the current owner. Neither Gold Fingers nor this system is aware of how their abilities originated. ]

"Sigh!"

Yuga sighed and asked, "Well, how did you come into existence then? You should know that, right?"

[ Apologies, host. ]

Yuga sighed again and said, "Alright, forget it. I won't ask anymore. Anyway, you've been incredibly helpful, and asking so many questions won't change that."

Honestly, Yuga found his Gold Finger to be incredibly practical. For the Ecopark alone, it not only provided a high-end environment but also took care of day-to-day maintenance and repairs, all managed by the system.

The cost savings for construction and maintenance alone were substantial, and without the system assistance, Yuga might not have been able to afford building it even after struggling for twenty years.

Constructing an Ecopark in the world of Pokémon wasn't easy, and maintaining it was even more challenging. If building the garden required a significant amount of money, the funds required for maintenance would be astronomical. This was also why most Day Cares didn't have Ecoparks.

Day Cares established by the official League were supplied directly with Pokémon eggs and Pokémon from the League own Day Care Centers, eliminating the need for Ecoparks.

Small-scale Day Cares couldn't afford to build Ecoparks and had to source their stock from the League Day Care Centers, similar to how the old YoYo Day Care operated.

Only a few large-scale Day Cares had their own Ecoparks.
