"Florges, you're finally awake!" Yuga looked at Florges with joy and then hugged her tightly, holding her close.
"I was really scared just now. I thought you might not wake up," Yuga couldn't help but let tears well up in his eyes, his voice trembling and choked as he spoke to Florges.
"Florges! Florges!" Florges gently patted Yuga's back with her hands, as if comforting a frightened child.
The wild Pokémon around them saw that Florges had awakened safely and started cheering and celebrating. At this point, Yuga began to feel a bit embarrassed. He quickly released Florges from his embrace and got up from the ground.
By now, the green lights that had responded to Florges had all disappeared, and the forest looked ordinary again, as if the previous events had been mere illusions.
Yuga felt a bit bewildered. He had been so busy worrying about Florges and immersed in the joy of her awakening that he had automatically ignored the changes in the surrounding environment.
However, even so, Yuga had clearly seen the tremendous commotion just moments ago.
"Florges, do you know what just happened? Why did those green lights appear?" Yuga asked, puzzled.
"Florges!"
Florges stood up from the ground, extending her hand and pointing to the now vibrant forest.
"Are you saying this was the forest's way of showing gratitude to you?" Yuga said incredulously.
"Florges!"
Florges nodded in confirmation.
Yuga couldn't help but find this world full of wonders. The fact that the forest could express gratitude was astonishing.
"Florges, Florges!"
Florges gently tugged at Yuga's clothing, gesturing for him to look.
Yuga followed Florges's gesture and saw that a green light had begun to wrap around her pristine arms. When she directed the green light towards a small blade of grass on the ground, the grass visibly grew rapidly and blossomed into vibrant flowers.
Yuga was astounded by Florges's newfound ability. "Is this a power you just gained?" Yuga asked uncertainly.
"Florges!"
Florges nodded in affirmation.
Was this a silver lining after the misfortune? The forest's reward was truly remarkable. Florges's Grassy Terrain seemed to pale in comparison.
While Yuga and Florges were happily experimenting with her new ability, the wild Pokémon from the forest came over, each carrying piles of tree berries and placing them at Yuga's feet.
"Are these berries for us?" Yuga asked the Pokémon in front of him.
The Pokémon all nodded in unison.
Yuga smiled and said, "You don't need to do this. We helped you because we wanted to, not to receive your gratitude. Besides, the forest was just damaged, and it will take some time for new berries to grow. You need these berries more than we do."
Hearing Yuga's words, the Pokémon looked at each other, unsure of what to do.
"We genuinely don't need more food! Moreover, even if you give us all these berries, we can't carry them all!" Yuga added with a playful tone, clearly deceiving them. After all, Yuga had no trouble carrying away plenty of items.
Just as the Pokémon were unsure of what to do, a majestic-looking Tangrowth suddenly called out. The other Pokémon promptly retrieved their tree berries.
After accepting the Pokémon's heartfelt thanks, Yuga and the others watched as the remaining Pokémon gradually departed. The only one who remained was Tangrowth, which beckoned Yuga over.
Yuga approached, curious, and asked, "Tangrowth, is there something you want?"
Tangrowth extended one of its vines into its own foliage-covered body, rummaging around until it pulled out a tender yellow seed and handed it to Yuga.
A Miracle Seed?
"Is this a gift for me?" Yuga asked.
Tangrowth nodded and handed Yuga the Miracle Seed.
"Thank you. I'll gladly accept this gift," Yuga expressed his gratitude to Tangrowth.
Yuga considered the situation and then passed the Miracle Seed to Florges standing nearby. After all, he didn't have a Grass-type Pokémon, making Florges the most suitable recipient for the Miracle Seed. Moreover, Florges had been the one to save the forest, so it was only fitting that she receive Tangrowth's gift.
Florges happily accepted the Miracle Seed from Yuga, and a green light emitted from her body. It seemed that the Miracle Seed had triggered something as it merged into the floral pattern on her neck.
Yuga noticed that Florges, now carrying the Miracle Seed, appeared rejuvenated and radiant. It almost gave him the illusion that his initial Pokémon partner was a Grass-type instead of a Fairy-type.
Just when Yuga thought Tangrowth was about to leave, he saw it reaching into its body once more.
This time, it retrieved a round, shiny stone.
A Mega Evolution Stone?
Yuga examined it closely and finally confirmed that it was indeed a Mega Evolution Stone.
"Is this for me too?" Yuga asked excitedly.
Tangrowth nodded without hesitation.
Yuga joyfully accepted the Mega Evolution Stone from Tangrowth, finding it utterly adorable.
"Metagross's Mega Evolution Stone?!"
After a system appraisal, Yuga exclaimed in surprise.
This Mega Evolution Stone was incredibly rare. However, Yuga didn't have a Metagross, and obtaining such a rare Pokémon was exceptionally difficult. It felt almost impossible.
Yuga sighed. He thought that it might be better to receive a Keystone instead. At the very least, he could pair the Keystone with the Gyaradosite's Mega Evolution Stone. The Metagross's Mega Evolution Stone seemed somewhat underwhelming in comparison.
Nevertheless, Yuga considered that he might be able to use it in the future for a trade with Steven. Devon Corporation surely had the means to obtain a few Mega Evolution Stones. At worst, he could trade it for a Keystone, as having a Mega Evolution Stone without a Keystone would be rather pointless.
With these thoughts in mind, Yuga placed Metagross's Mega Evolution Stone carefully into his backpack, intending to keep it safe. He then turned to Tangrowth and said, "Thank you for your gifts; I really appreciate them."
Tangrowth nodded at Yuga and slowly departed.
