Counterattack

When they saw Cofagrigus being continuously pulled towards the center of the ritual circle by the blue beam of light, Volcarona flapped its three pairs of wings vigorously and swiftly flew directly above Cofagrigus. It unleashed a powerful Flame Burst on its back, sending it plummeting.

Other Pokémon on the scene also immediately launched attacks on the now-bound Cofagrigus, causing it to fall even faster.

As Cofagrigus landed completely in the center of the ritual circle, its resistance grew even more frantic.

It bore a profound psychological trauma from being sealed within this ritual circle for hundreds of years. Even though it knew that the circle could no longer contain it, it still experienced waves of fear upon landing.

Cofagrigus, now pinned to the ground, thrashed about with its four long arms, conjuring countless Omnious Winds that tore at the blue beam of light restraining it.

Just when Yuga and the others were relieved to see Cofagrigus finally suppressed, they heard a "crack" sound. The entire ritual circle split in half, including the two circles emitting the blue beam of light.

As the circles shattered, the blue beam of light explosively collapsed into specks of light, and the Unown embedded within the circles were all sent flying, their eyes filled with terror as they stared at the Cofagrigus crouched in the center of the ritual circle.

No one could have anticipated that the ritual circle, which had existed for such a long time, would completely shatter under Cofagrigus's struggle. The joyful expression on Yuga's face froze instantly.

"Hahaha, let's see what you can do now," Cofagrigus laughed maniacally and then shifted its gaze towards Yuga.

"You humans make me very uncomfortable. I'll start with you!" Cofagrigus extended its long arms towards Yuga, who wasn't far from it.

"Florges!"

Yuga shouted to the Florges beside him. Thanks to Yuga's special abilities, he could now communicate telepathically with Florges. Without explicitly saying anything, Florges understood Yuga's intent.

Florges moved to stand in front of Yuga, and with a wave of its two arms, a green halo appeared beneath Cofagrigus. Countless grass sprouted and grew rapidly, forming vines that tightly bound Cofagrigus as it was about to make its move.

However, Cofagrigus's power was overwhelming. The vines binding it quickly cracked under its struggle. Although the vines grew rapidly, they couldn't match the speed of Cofagrigus's violent resistance. It appeared that Cofagrigus was about to break free.

Just then, on the other side, Absol began to emit a dazzling radiance. Soon after, it underwent a tremendous transformation, with a dazzling set of armor illuminated by a rainbow of colors.

Absol had once again undergone Mega Evolution. This time, Yuga was able to witness the entire process. After a colossal spiral pattern appeared and disappeared, Mega Absol stood before Yuga.

After Mega Evolution, Absol's size had grown even taller, from just over two meters to three meters. Its four paws had become even sharper, and most strikingly, it had grown a magnificent pair of wings on its back.

However, what stood out most on Mega Absol was the Seed of Unknown, which shone with a golden light, embedded in the black armor on its forehead.

Mega Absol, with its streamlined body, had increased speed, and while the wings on its back couldn't make it fly, they granted it enhanced jumping abilities. It had just executed a high jump that was truly impressive.

Soaring high and then descending heavily, Cofagrigus was seriously impacted by Mega Absol's landing. Being stomped on by Mega Absol, the colossal beast, was no small matter.

Feeling humiliated by being pinned down by Mega Absol, Cofagrigus intensified its struggle. However, Mega Absol lifted its right front paw and used Throat Chop, pressing Cofagrigus back down to the ground.

"Absol!"

Absol stood on Cofagrigus's back and shouted loudly at Yuga, urging him to take action.

Yuga, snapping back to reality, hurriedly rushed to the Cofagrigus that was being jointly restrained by Mega Absol and Florges. He bit his finger and drew a complex pattern on Cofagrigus's forehead with his own blood.

After completing the pattern, Yuga placed his palm on Cofagrigus's body and channeled the power of the Ghost World Origin Stone in his mind. This power flowed into Cofagrigus through the pattern he had drawn.

The blood-red patterns, drawn by Yuga, began to spread across Cofagrigus's entire body as the life force of Cofagrigus seemed to solidify, and fear finally gripped its heart.

"What have you done to me?" Cofagrigus roared, though its voice betrayed the inner panic it felt. It wanted to struggle, but all the strength in its body no longer obeyed its commands, rendering it powerless, like a mere husk.

At this moment, both Gengar and Mismagius descended from above, landing behind Yuga. They each extended a hand (Mismagius used the hem of its magical robe as a hand).

As Gengar and Mismagius placed their hands on Yuga's back, black waves of energy began to emanate from their bodies. This energy covered Yuga's body and then extended along his arms, encompassing Cofagrigus's body.

Cofagrigus then felt its internal power draining away, its life energy flowing steadily toward Yuga. Yuga sensed this influx of life energy, making him feel as if he were basking in a warm spring field.

However, this life energy didn't linger in Yuga's body for long. It merely acted as a conduit through Yuga's body, passing on to Mismagius and Gengar positioned behind him.

As this abundant life energy flowed into them, both Gengar and Mismagius's auras began to soar, while Cofagrigus's aura gradually waned.

"What have you done to me? Stop it! Can't you hear me? Stop it!" Cofagrigus, completely immobilized, cried out in fear. It could feel that at this rate, it would soon be drained completely.

But Yuga, Gengar, and Mismagius paid no attention to Cofagrigus's pleas and continued to accelerate their absorption of Cofagrigus's life energy.

And so, for nearly an hour, they continued this process. Strangely, even after such a long time, Yuga could still sense the vast life energy within Cofagrigus's body. It left Yuga utterly puzzled.

Although Yuga couldn't gauge Cofagrigus's true strength, based on its battle with Volcarona and the others, it still seemed to be within the realm of Elite level Pokémon, not surpassing that level. However, the sheer quantity of life energy within Cofagrigus's body appeared to exceed that of typical Elite level Pokémon by a considerable margin, explaining its incredible power.
