Druddigon

After Glenn left the Verdanturf Gym, nobody knew where he had disappeared to, and Yuga hadn't seen him for several days.

One day, Dragonite's mother suddenly found Yuga and asked him to accompany her on a trip to the Petalburg Forest. She explained that she wanted to retrieve something from her former home in the forest since she had initially left the forest while chasing after Zapdos.

Yuga naturally couldn't refuse Dragonite's mother's request. After all, he had been staying at the YoYo Day Care, and it was inevitable that he would move at some point.

So, Yuga made arrangements with Suzuki Garden and Beidou and set off for the Petalburg Forest with Dragonite's mother and Dragonite.

Since Dragonite's mother wasn't one of Yuga's Pokémon and hadn't been captured in a Poké Ball, Yuga rode on Dragonite while following closely behind her.

The Petalburg Forest was vast, with a forested area that was just as impressive as the Pinwheel Forest. Without Dragonite's mother guiding the way, it would have been challenging for Yuga to find the right location.

Having Dragonite's mother by their side meant that they didn't encounter any Pokémon during their journey. The forest's Pokémon sensed Dragonite's mother's imposing presence and chose to steer clear.

Dragonite's mother's original home was deep within the Petalburg Forest, an area known for being the most dangerous part of the forest, with high-level Pokémon roaming freely.

Zapdos had also lived nearby initially, but after its battle with Dragonite's mother, it had disappeared without a trace and left the area.

If Dragonite's mother hadn't known that Zapdos had already left the Petalburg Forest, she wouldn't have dared to return.

Although Dragonite's mother had fought Zapdos due to Dratini's influence, there was still a significant gap in strength between them.

Dragonite and its family preferred to live near the lake in the center of the forest. Dratini and Dragonair both enjoyed living in the water, and even Dragonite liked being close to the water. As a result, the lake had become their territory.

The scenery around the lake was beautiful, with lush green grass along the shore, and many Zigzagoon and Linoone frolicked and played.

When these Pokémon saw Dragonite's mother return, they were surprised but not frightened, indicating that things had been like this when she was around.

As soon as Yuga dismounted from Dragonite, he saw a playful Linoone rushing over to Dragonite's mother, muttering a few words in a flustered manner.

Dragonite's mother, upon hearing Linoone's words, became furious, and Yuga suddenly understood.

No wonder the forest Pokémon were astonished when Dragonite's mother returned. During her absence, other Pokémon had taken over her territory.

Although it was common for a Pokémon to leave its territory in the wild and have it taken over by others, things were different now that Dragonite's mother had returned.

Even though Dragonite's mother had only intended to retrieve something, hearing that her home had been occupied by other Pokémon filled her with righteous anger.

Dragonite's mother flapped her wings angrily and flew toward her nest. Seeing her so upset, Yuga and Dragonite exchanged a glance and quickly followed behind her.

Occupying Dragonite's nest was a sturdy-looking Druddigon.

When Yuga and Dragonite arrived, the Druddigon was snoozing in the nest, drooling while clutching two shiny Dragon Gem. It seemed to be in a daze, not quite comprehending what had happened.

Seeing the Druddigon sleeping like a dead pig, Dragonite's mother was almost furious. The dragon gem it was holding in its hand was still her own.

Extremely angry, Dragonite's mother directly hit him with a Dragon Pulse. The Druddigon was awakened by the explosion and looked confused as to what happened.

"Who am I? Where am I? What's going on?" the Druddigon seemed to ponder, drooling even more, and it was utterly oblivious that the Dragon Gem it had been clutching had fallen to the ground.

Initially, Dragonite's mother hadn't intended to use excessive force, but seeing the foolish expression on Dragonite's face made her even angrier. She unleashed another Dragon Pulse, finally waking up the Druddigon.

Seeing the furious Dragonite's mother, the Druddigon shook itself awake. It wondered, "Why is this lady back? Didn't she already leave?"

Since Dragonite's mother had been absent for quite some time, the residents of the Petalburg Forest had assumed she had left for good.

To gain control of this nest, the Druddigon had fought numerous battles with other Pokémon in the forest, showcasing its strength.

However, its comfortable days had been short-lived as the lady of the house returned sooner than expected.

The Druddigon dared not lay a finger on her and immediately began pleading. Still, Dragonite's mother wasn't about to offer it an opportunity to explain.

In her eyes, the Druddigon wasn't even deserving of an explanation before her, let alone a chance to speak.

Dragonite's mother rapidly flashed in front of the Druddigon and delivered a punch filled with icy aura straight to its head, leaving the Druddigon seeing stars.

A few more punches, and the Druddigon was down for the count.

Dragonite's mother was still quite compassionate and hadn't gone all out. Otherwise, under the Ice Punch of a Champion level Dragonite, the Druddigon's skull might have cracked.

Speaking of which, this Druddigon was undeniably powerful.

Think about it, it had thrived in the deep recesses of the Petalburg Forest, established itself comfortably, and won the right to live in Dragonite's nest amidst fierce competition. Its strength was unquestionable.

Although it was a Dragon-type Pokémon, it had a meager number of Dragon-type moves. Nonetheless, its strength was undeniable, reaching Elite level, and also had blue potential.

Reflecting on it, breaking through to Elite level in the harsh wild environment was no easy feat, requiring significant talent.

Elite level Pokémon with green potential like Archeops had taken countless years and consumed vast resources to break through to Elite level.

Currently, Archeops was beginning to show signs of aging. Without breaking through to the Champion level within a limited timeframe and undergoing another life level leap, it would be practically impossible for it to survive.

As for Noctowl, it was an unexpected occurrence. Not just any Pokémon could receive help from a Legendary Pokémon.

After giving the Druddigon a good beating, Dragonite's mother felt much better. She signaled to Yuga to enter the nest.

Dragonite's nest was located by the lakeside, a spacious cave that wasn't very deep, but it had excellent ventilation and plenty of natural light, making it a clean and comfortable dwelling.

Seeing that her home hadn't been ruined by the Druddigon, Dragonite's mother felt a sense of relief and nostalgia. It was truly heartwarming to be back.

While Dragonite had been born here, it hadn't lived here long enough to develop strong emotional ties to the place.
