Symbiosis

Ever since discovering the abnormality in Gardevoir (male), Yuga had been secretly observing its behavior.

Through his observations, Yuga noticed that Gardevoir (male) was mostly normal, except for occasional strange behavior when playing with the Gardevoir family.

Yuga also observed that several times, this peculiar Gardevoir (male) attempted to leave the main Ecopark but was stopped due to a lack of access permissions.

When stopped, the odd Gardevoir (male) would become quite upset, but it didn't exhibit any aggressive behavior. Instead, it often guided the Ralts and Medidite in their psychic training.

Yuga could tell that this peculiar Gardevoir (male) had exceptional psychic abilities. Thanks to its influence, five Ralts evolved into Kirlia simultaneously.

Initially curious about this Gardevoir 's situation, Yuga's curiosity peaked when he realized that his Guardian Orb, placed on the weather Tree, had disappeared.

The identity of the strange Gardevoir became apparent.

One day, Yuga came as usual to observe Gardevoir (male). However, Gardevoir (male) noticed him and appeared next to him in an instant using Teleport.

In reality, Gardevoir (male) had always been aware that Yuga was secretly observing it; it just hadn't mentioned it.

"Hey, why do you always keep me here? I want to explore other places too!" Gardevoir (male) complained when Yuga spoke.

Judging from the tone, Yuga knew that this wasn't Gardevoir (male) but rather the peculiar Gardevoir (male).

"Are you Celebi?" Yuga squinted his eyes, asking Gardevoir (male) in an odd tone.

"Hehe, you found out," Gardevoir (male) admitted, giggling with its hands covering its mouth.

"You've taken over Gardevoir (male)'s body?" Yuga inquired.

"I had no choice; I don't have a body of my own," Gardevoir (male) replied with a slightly pitiful tone.

"How did you get out of the Guardian Orb?" Yuga continued to ask.

"Oh, that thing? I dismantled it," Gardevoir (male) said proudly.

Upon hearing this, Yuga nearly lost his balance. His precious possession had been dismantled by Gardevoir (male).

This Orb had indirectly contributed to the downfall of a once-great ancient empire. Now, it was simply gone. Yuga's heart ached, and he could barely breathe.

"How... how did you do it?" Yuga asked with a trembling voice and a hand on his forehead, still in shock.

In theory, it shouldn't have been possible. Celebi had been trapped inside the Guardian Orb for over a thousand years; there was no reason it would suddenly have the ability to destroy it. If it had, it wouldn't have suffered under the rule of King Arus for so long.

"Well, I have you to thank for that," Gardevoir (male) replied, blushing and speaking somewhat shyly.

Yuga watched Gardevoir (male)'s reddened face and couldn't help but shiver. What's going on? You're a male Gardevoir; why are you blushing?

But how does it relate to me that you dismantled the Orb? Yuga wondered.

"What exactly happened?" It turned out that King Arus had wanted to kill Celebi, but due to Celebi's powerful psychic and Grass-type abilities, it had an extremely resilient life force.

After its body was destroyed, Celebi's spiritual strength survived, sleeping within its essence. It was then sealed inside the Guardian Orb.

Normally, Celebi's spiritual strength should have been very weak, and it wouldn't have been able to wake up under ordinary circumstances.

However, it encountered Yuga and Florges, both blessed by another Celebi.

That Celebi is standing at the pinnacle of all Celebi. Therefore, the power in the bodies of Yuga and Florges awakened the dormant spiritual strength left by Celebi.

Once awakened, Celebi's consciousness helped Yuga cure Dragonite's mother. Then, with Gardevoir (male) as its vessel, it separated from the Guardian Orb.

Once it regained a body, Celebi summoned its own original powers from the Orb.

Without the support power of Celebi power, the Guardian Orb would naturally be dismantled.

Listening to this explanation, Yuga watched as Gardevoir placed its hands over its chest, extracting a vibrant green sphere of vitality.

"You see, this is my original power. It has now merged with this body," Gardevoir explained.

Yuga hadn't expected that the reason behind all of this was the mysterious Celebi, which had blessed him and Florges. Thanks to Celebi's blessing, Yuga had gained numerous advantages.

Having gained the goodwill of many wild Pokémon, become Mr. Kuni'o's disciple, awakened special abilities, received the favor of several Legendary Pokémon, and captured several highly talented Pokémon.

Now by a chance, Yuga found himself in a situation where Celebi's consciousness had awakened through a fortunate turn of events.

However, Yuga had never actually met the mysterious Celebi that had blessed him.

Yuga pondered for a moment before asking, "So, can you still leave this body?"

After retracting its original power, Celebi replied dejectedly, "No, I can't. I can only maintain the current state. This body is much weaker than my original form. I've even lost my ability to travel through time and space."

As Celebi spoke, there was a palpable sense of disappointment in its tone. It had transitioned from being a Legendary Pokémon to an ordinary Pokémon the contrast weighed heavily on its heart.

"What about the original Gardevoir (male)? You haven't harmed it in any way, have you?" Yuga inquired, his emotions becoming quite complex.

Although Gardevoir (male) wasn't particularly fond of him, its true nature wasn't malicious. Yuga didn't wish for any harm to come to it.

Based on the novels Yuga had read in his previous life, when a powerful entity took over the body of a weaker being, it often suppressed the original consciousness.

"What should we do?" Yuga asked, feeling torn.

Upon hearing Yuga's question, Celebi seemed momentarily puzzled. "What do you mean, what should we do? Of course, we'll share this body! Besides, I've actually done you a favor. This body now has my original power, and who knows how much stronger it will become in the future!"

Celebi's expression turned rather smug as it continued, "In fact, this body got quite a bargain. It received my original power. From now on, it might become even more formidable than it used to be."

Celebi's choice to inhabit Gardevoir (male)'s body was a matter of necessity. Yuga's Ecopark didn't have a suitable body for it, and it had to make do with the next best option. Although the secondary attributes of Gardevoir were Fairy and Celebi is Grass, its primary attribute, Psychic, aligned with Celebi's.

The decision for Celebi's consciousness to coexist with Gardevoir (male)'s body had been made with the full agreement of both parties. Celebi hadn't taken over recklessly.

This arrangement was a win-win situation for both Celebi and Gardevoir (male).

Celebi regained its physical form and freedom, while Gardevoir (male) acquired significantly enhanced power. Yet, Gardevoir (male)'s decision to share its body with Celebi was primarily motivated by reverence for Celebi, the Forest God.

Before being captured by Butler, Gardevoir (male) had also been a wild Pokémon, and like all wild Pokémon, it held varying degrees of respect for the Forest God, Celebi. Celebi's legacy could be found throughout the Pokémon world, as its blessings had touched many lives.

"That's good to know," Yuga sighed in relief, hearing that Gardevoir (male) wouldn't be harmed. It would simply share its body with Celebi.

Yuga finally understood why, when he used his Insight, Gardevoir (male) sometimes exhibited two different states. In its normal state, the dominant consciousness should be that of Gardevoir (male). In the special state, it should be the consciousness of Celebi.

However, the transition between these states remained a fascinating mystery to Yuga. Nevertheless, he had a guess:

When Celebi's consciousness took control of the body, it could manage the original power within it, giving it a form close to that of a Legendary Pokémon. Conversely, when Gardevoir (male)'s consciousness was dominant, it struggled to control Celebi's original power, resulting in a more common appearance.

Seeing Yuga's expression, Gardevoir felt more favorable toward him and understood the reason behind his earlier question.
