Adoption

After arriving at the Pokémon Paradise, Yuga walked in and asked Manectric a few questions. In no time, Manectric led out two Marill and one Azumarill.

These three Pokémon were a family of three, the ones who had saved Yasu and Keiko.

Yuga walked out with Marill and Azumarill and asked Yasu and Keiko, "Are these the ones you were talking about?"

"Yes, it's them, it's them!" Yasu and Keiko said happily, immediately recognizing their saviors.

The two Marill and Azumarill, seeing Yasu and Keiko looking excited, hid behind Yuga in fear.

"I'm sorry, but some of the Pokémon here have had some bad experiences, so they might be a bit wary of humans," Yuga said apologetically.

"Oh, we should be the ones apologizing, then. We're sorry, little ones," Yasu and Keiko quickly apologized to Marill and Azumarill.

Hearing Keiko's gentle voice, Azumarill curiously peeked out from behind Yuga, quietly observing Yasu and Keiko.

"It's like this..." Seeing that Yasu and Keiko were treating Marill and Azumarill kindly, Yuga took the opportunity to explain their adoption plan.

"Oh, I see!" Hearing Yuga's words, the couple marveled at his kindness, willing to take in so many stray Pokémon.

"Darling, let's adopt them," Keiko suddenly said to Yasu.

Their family was well-off, and raising three Pokémon was no problem at all. Although they weren't Trainers themselves, their son was. In the past two years, their son had been traveling, and they usually stayed in Verdanturf Town. With just the two of them at home most of the time, having these three little ones to keep them company would surely make things livelier.

Yasu thought Keiko's suggestion was a good one. He had a good job at a big company, and Keiko ran a flower shop by herself. While he was at work, she managed the shop alone. If these three little ones could accompany her, he would feel much more at ease.

"All right, let's adopt them," Yasu smiled gently at Keiko.

"I wonder, how do we go about adopting them?" Yasu asked Yuga.

Yuga hadn't expected the couple to make a decision so quickly, so he smiled and replied, "First, we need to get the consent of these three little ones."

Keiko nodded in agreement. "Of course, of course."

"Little ones, would you like to come home with us? We promise to take good care of you," Keiko crouched down and asked Marill and Azumarill gently.

The Marill and Azumarill, who had just peeked out, immediately withdrew their heads when they saw Keiko crouching down.

"It seems like things might not be going smoothly," Yasu hugged Keiko's shoulder and comforted her.

"I wonder if we can come here to visit them in the next few days? Because of our parents, we have to stay in Verdanturf Town for a few days. I'd like to see if there's a chance for Marill and Azumarill to accept us," Yasu asked Yuga.

"Of course, you're welcome to come anytime. We're open to the public, and everyone in town knows. You can come whenever you like," Yuga said happily.

From the words and actions of this couple, Yuga could tell that they were both very kind-hearted people. If Marill's family could be adopted by them, it would undoubtedly be a good thing for them.

However, Yuga also respected Marill's family's decision. If they ultimately didn't want to leave, he wouldn't force them.

Afterward, the couple indeed visited Marill's family every day. Sometimes, when Marill and the others were not at home, the couple patiently waited for their return.

Every time they came, they would bring small gifts for Marill's family, sometimes food, and sometimes toys.

Gradually, Marill's family was genuinely touched by them, especially Azumarill, who liked Yasu and Keiko very much.

In fact, while Marill's family was cautious around humans, they didn't really dislike them, or else they wouldn't have saved the strangers, Yasu and Keiko.

After obtaining Marill's family's consent, with the witness of Yuga, Liliana, and Joyka, Yasu and Keiko formally adopted Marill's family.

On the day they left, all the stray Pokémon came out to bid them farewell.

Although there were still many stray Pokémon who didn't particularly like humans, they were willing to respect Marill's family's choice.

For Marill's family to find a good home, both Yuga and Liliana, and Joyka were happy for them.

The next day, Yuga took in the stray Pokémon in town, and Yasu and Keiko adopted Marill's family. This news made it to the local newspaper of Verdanturf Town.

This report was arranged by Mayor Ishida with the aim of promoting Yuga, so that more people could come to adopt stray Pokémon.

Not long after this news came out, the official media of the Pokémon League came to interview Yuga.

The League was currently working hard to turn Yuga into a star Trainer, so such an event had to be well publicized.

In this way, Yuga not only made it into the newspaper but also appeared on television.

Yuga didn't particularly aspire to fame, but reputation was essential for the operation of the YoYo Day Care.

Time flew by, and by the end of the year, Akihito and Arata Sena, who had been traveling, returned. After not seeing each other for a while, these two seemed to have matured quite a bit.

After spending so much time training in seclusion, going on a journey for a while would indeed help with their growth.

Shortly after Arata Sena and Akihito returned, Luna and Rand also came back on vacation.

Considering it, Yuga had not seen them for a long time, except for phone calls.

They had visited a couple of times during their holidays, but Yuga was always out, so Luna and Rand can't meet him.

The Magneton that they had left with Yuga had long since evolved into Magneton, but they had never asked Yuga for them, so Yuga left them in the Mine Sub-Ecopark.

The special magnetic field in the Mine Sub-Ecopark was very beneficial for the growth of these two Pokémon.

This time, when the two of them saw their evolved Magnezone, they were delighted.

The two Magnezone had benefited greatly in the Mine Sub-Ecopark, and their progress was evident. Luna and Rand were both pleasantly surprised.

They even challenged Akihito and Arata Sena to a few battles. Overall, Akihito and Arata Sena were slightly stronger.

After all, Luna and Rand were a bit younger, and in terms of training Pokémon, Akihito and Arata Sena were more mature.
