After leaving the Ecopark, Yuga asked Chimecho to go and invite Deoxys over. He didn't know exactly where Deoxys was, so he had to rely on Chimecho to locate him.
However, as soon as Chimecho left, Yuga received a call from his master, Mr. kuni'o.
"How is it? Have you returned from Kalos? Did everything go smoothly?"
His master's familiar voice came from the other end of the phone. It seemed that he called Yuga at the right time, neither early nor late.
"I just got back yesterday, everything went smoothly, no issues at all. Thank you for your concern. But is there something you need today?" Yuga asked, puzzled.
"Weren't you asking me to find information about the Source of Flight? I heard that the Temple clan has one, and I've already spoken with them. They should be contacting you for a trade soon!"
The Temple clan? Yuga couldn't help but think of Cynthia. Could this be what she meant by "See you again in Verdanturf Town"?
With this in mind, Yuga began to connect the dots, realizing that it was quite likely. He had mistakenly thought his good looks had attracted someone, and it turned out to be this situation.
"Do they mention what they want in exchange for the Source of Flight?"
The Source of Flight was precious, and they wouldn't just give it away for free. Yuga didn't think he had that much charm to sway them.
"They didn't specify. You'll probably need to negotiate directly with them. But if you encounter any difficulties, just let me know. I'll do my best to help you."
Yuga was touched by Mr. Kuni'o's words. It was good to have a dependable elder to rely on.
"Alright, I understand. Thank you for your help."
"Don't worry about thanking me. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up now. You wait for them to contact you, and if you encounter any problems, remember to tell me."
After giving Yuga these instructions, Mr. Kuni'o hung up the phone.
Yuga realized that he and Cynthia must have left Kalos around the same time. Now that he was back, it was likely that she would arrive soon.
He decided to wait for her to come to him.
Yuga waited in his shop for over an hour, and then Chimecho returned, informing him that Deoxys was already waiting for him.
Yuga followed Chimecho to a forest outside the town, and Deoxys immediately revealed itself from its hidden state.
"I heard from Chimecho that you wanted to see me?"
Deoxys floated in mid-air, emitting strange sounds from its chest.
"Yes, it's partly to express my gratitude for your help with Chimecho, and partly because I need to ask you for another favor," Yuga said, feeling somewhat embarrassed about troubling Deoxys again.
"You don't need to thank me for that. Helping Chimecho was my own choice. As for the favor, just tell me what it is," Deoxys replied in its gentle demeanor, showing a willingness to assist Yuga.
"Well, you see... I'd like you to seal the moves of these three Pokémon for me," Yuga explained the situation with the Malamar.
"I see. I agree to your request. Please release those three Malamar," Deoxys said.
Not many Pokémon appreciated the way the Malamar behaved, including Deoxys. So, without much consideration, Deoxys agreed to Yuga's request.
"Thank you so much!" Yuga happily released the three Malamar.
As soon as the Malamar came out, they glared angrily at Yuga. They had realized his intentions to seal their moves yesterday, which meant they couldn't pretend to be obedient any longer.
If they were sealed, they would be at Yuga's mercy, with no chance of turning the tables.
Fortunately, yesterday, Nana hadn't succeeded in her attempt to seal them, and they hadn't let go of their anger. Today, Yuga planned to try it again, which naturally made them furious.
Seeing the bad attitudes of the three Malamar, Yuga immediately released Florges.
When Florges appeared, the three Malamar instinctively shrank their bodies.
"All three of you better behave yourselves, or you'll regret it!" Yuga warned sternly.
After Yuga finished speaking, Florges cooperated with him at the right moment. She used her vine whip to strike each of the three Malamar, causing them to shiver with fear.
Yuga: "Sorry to trouble you, Deoxys!"
Deoxys nodded and descended from mid-air to where the Malamar were.
Seeing Deoxys approaching, the three Malamar wanted to threaten it, but they felt the overwhelming aura emanating from Deoxys, causing them to shrink back.
They had initially thought that the Gardevoir they encountered yesterday was the most powerful Pokémon they would ever meet in their lives. Little did they expect to encounter an even stronger monster today.
Noticing the Malamar's subtle movements, Deoxys remarked, "Indeed, they are vicious Pokémon. Their type combination is quite unique, which explains why you couldn't seal them yourself."
Yuga thought for a moment and realized the truth. A combination of Psychic and Dark types was rare. Aside from Malamar and its pre-evolved form Inkay, there was only the legendary Pokémon Hoopa Unbound with a similar type combination.
Dark types were immune to Psychic moves within the same level, and Psychic types were resistant to Psychic moves, making it particularly challenging to seal Malamar using Psychic moves.
However, Deoxys, being a Legendary Pokémon, had the immense power advantage to forcibly seal Malamar.
Deoxys emitted a purple light, and when this light touched the three Malamar, they began to struggle intensely.
They seemed to foresee their impending fate and were making a final stand.
But Deoxys' formidable psychic power tightly bound the Malamar. Even though their soft bodies contorted due to their struggles, they couldn't resist Deoxys' sealing power.
Soon, the Malamar realized in terror that they couldn't access their internal energy or communicate with external energy sources. They were completely unable to use any of their moves.
"Alright, the sealing is complete! Unless someone possesses the same or greater psychic power as me, the seal can never be undone," Deoxys explained to Yuga.
Yuga expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you so much."
The three Malamar now looked at Deoxys with fear in their eyes. They had just come to realize the terrifying nature of the Pokémon before them. It was likely easier for it to crush them than to squish a Caterpie.
"You don't need to thank me. Just take good care of Chimecho," Deoxys said.
The current Chimecho was different from the previous one. It had been reborn inside Deoxys's meteor "mother." You could almost call her Deoxys's biological sister.
The meteor, thanks to Chimecho, had lost all of its energy and was now no different from an ordinary rock. The advantage was that it could no longer trigger magnetic storms.
Yuga nodded in agreement, saying, "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Chimecho."
Deoxys nodded in satisfaction.
"In the future, I'll continue to travel, and now that Chimecho has the same energy core as me, if you ever have something important, you can call on me through Chimecho. As long as we're on the same path, I'll be able to sense it."
The energy cores within Deoxys could communicate with each other. With the completion of the meteor's energy core through Chimecho, there was now a wonderful sense of connection between Chimecho and Deoxys.
