Lost

Frillish, it suddenly realized it had arrived in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by silence so profound that it made it feel a little scared.

However, the unique and soothing atmosphere in the surroundings made it feel comfortable. Unable to resist, it stretched its body and shook its tentacles, discovering that the gravity here was different from the outside.

It looked around and saw peculiar floating islands and various buildings. When it reached out to touch one of the buildings, it realized that these structures were actually just reflections and couldn't be touched.

The reflections in the Distortion World come from the real world. When the environment in the real world is disturbed, the Distortion World automatically restores it. However, Frillish didn't know this, nor did it know that touching the reflections in the Distortion World would also affect the real world.

Yuga and Cynthia's Pokémon were warned not to touch the reflections in the Distortion World before entering, but Frillish was unaware of this.

Fortunately, Frillish had only lightly touched the reflections, and the impact on the real world was minimal.

By now, the energy of the Reverse Mirror had been depleted, and the vortex that had drawn Frillish in had disappeared. If Frillish wanted to leave, it would have to wait for three months.

However, Frillish didn't know that the Pokémon in the Haunted Mansion Sub-Ecopark had been warned not to approach the Reverse Mirror, and it was the only one who had been forgotten. This curiosity led to its accidental entry into the Distortion World.

Frillish's parents were two Jellicent living in the Ghost Sea. It had never left the Ghost Sea since it was born. Now, suddenly finding itself in a new place, it had overcome its initial fear, and curiosity took over.

In this quiet environment, apart from Frillish, there were no other creatures. Driven by curiosity, Frillish began to explore.

In addition to differences in gravity in some places, the Distortion World had many reflections of the real world. The environments on those floating islands were similar to the outside, with tall trees, flowers on the ground, rocks, grass, and a variety of berrys.

The Distortion World, like the Ghost World, is a realm of antimatter, making it an ideal habitat for Ghost-type Pokémon. So, Frillish found it very comfortable here.

Of course, no matter how good the environment is, wandering alone for so long can become boring. The Distortion World doesn't have a day and night cycle, and Frillish doesn't know how long it has been floating in this quiet place.

Gradually, it started missing its home, its parents. But it couldn't find a way back; it had to continue wandering in the Distortion World.

The Distortion World is vast, almost as large as the real world, and Frillish kept wandering.

Yuga's Pokémon couldn't enter temporarily, and Cynthia's Pokémon either hadn't entered or hadn't crossed paths with Frillish. So, Frillish was left to wander alone in the Distortion World.

Being young, Frillish had never been away from its parents for so long. Its curiosity about the unfamiliar environment quickly disappeared, replaced by homesickness and fear of loneliness.

So, it cried a lot later on.

But crying couldn't solve the problem. It had to continue wandering alone in this unfamiliar place.

Fortunately, even though there was no one to communicate with here, there was an abundance of resources and food everywhere. So Frillish had never gone hungry.

Powerful Ghost-type Pokémon can go without food for a long time without any issues, but for the young Frillish, not having food meant it couldn't survive.

During its time of wandering, Frillish cried many times. But gradually, it realized that crying wouldn't solve its problems, so it stopped shedding tears and continued to roam.

It thought that if it kept searching, it would eventually find a way back home.

Sometimes when it felt lonely, it would speak to a blade of grass or a tree, and when it had said enough, it would continue wandering.

Frillish had excellent potential but low levels. To pass the time during its boredom, it trained. In the Distortion World, it was easy to level up, and unconsciously, it had raised its level to over forty in just two months.

After who knows how long it had been wandering aimlessly in the Distortion World, Frillish suddenly saw a massive creature lying on a distant floating island and excitedly floated over.

It had been wandering alone for far too long, and it felt like it was going crazy. Now, it finally encountered another Pokémon. It didn't care if there was any danger; it went straight over.

Though Giratina was asleep, it sensed Frillish approaching as it drew near. It didn't open its eyes but just flicked its tail and continued to sleep.

When it patrolled the Distortion World, it would occasionally encounter Yuga's and Cynthia's Pokémon. So, it assumed Frillish was also a Pokémon brought in for training by Yuga or Cynthia and didn't think much of it.

Frillish drifted over Giratina, realizing that the giant creature seemed to be sleeping, and its arrival didn't wake Giratina. So, it circled around Giratina once.

It wanted to talk to this enormous Pokémon, but seeing it asleep, Frillish didn't want to disturb it and just quietly floated there, waiting.

Giratina naturally felt the little one approaching, but for a Pokémon like this, one swipe of Giratina's tail could cause significant harm, so it paid no attention.

Giratina's breath, even during its light slumber, was quite intimidating. Frillish felt scared, but its desire to communicate with Giratina kept it from leaving.

Even a short nap for Giratina was a long time for regular Pokémon, but Frillish waited and waited, yet Giratina showed no sign of waking up.

Several days passed, and when Frillish got hungry, it found some food nearby but still didn't want to leave Giratina. It feared that if it left, it might never encounter another Pokémon it could talk to.

Upon returning after eating, Frillish noticed that the large creature was scratching itself with its tail, trying to reach those hard-to-scratch places on its body.

Whenever Giratina slept in one place for an extended period, it accumulated a lot of dust and dirt on its body. Although it would wash in water after waking up, it had a hard time cleaning certain areas, so over time, a considerable amount of dirt had built up in the gaps of its scales and armor.

Sometimes this dirt made it uncomfortable, but Giratina would endure it. Frillish quickly noticed the cause of Giratina's discomfort. It saw that, although Giratina hadn't woken up, it was making strange noises while sleeping. Frillish approached the creature, spat out a stream of water, and then used its soft tentacles to gently clean Giratina's hard scales.

At first, Frillish was a bit afraid of Giratina, but after spending some time together, it realized Giratina wouldn't harm it. So, it had no psychological burden when approaching the big creature.

Frillish's tentacles were very soft, and the touch on Giratina's body felt wonderful. Soon, Giratina's scales were shining brightly after being cleaned by Frillish.

Giratina slept soundly, murmuring in its dreams.

"Keep going, keep going..."

Giratina's voice echoed intermittently in Frillish's mind.

"It's talking to me!"

Frillish was thrilled and continued to diligently clean the dirt from Giratina's scales. Soon, Giratina's entire body was shining brightly, as if it had been highlighted. Its spirit and energy were rejuvenated.

Eventually, Giratina woke up and found Frillish with an eager expression.

Giratina: (⊙…⊙)

After Frillish entered the Distortion World, its parents searched tirelessly but couldn't find any trace of the suddenly missing Frillish. They reached out to Audino for help.

Audino mobilized all the Pokemon in the Ecopark to search for the lost Frillish, but there were no clues, and chaos the entire Ecopark wss in the state of chaos.

Because at the time, Yuga was in Johto, they didn't inform him. By the time Yuga learned that Frillish was missing, it was after Yuga returned from Johto.

However, even after that, Frillish was still missing.

Yuga suspected that Frillish had slipped out of the Ecopark and was captured by another trainer.

Frillish was a Pokémon from the Unova region and catching it in Hoenn was not easy.

Two months after Frillish's disappearance, everyone had gradually accepted the fact that Frillish could not be found. Yuga felt very sad for losing an Pokemon with blue potential.

However, two and a half months later, Frillish suddenly appeared in the Ghost Mansion Sub-Ecopark and was brought back by Giratina.

Usually, Giratina couldn't enter Yuga's Sub-Ecopark because the Sub-Ecopark had no reflection in the Distortion World. However, thanks to the Reverse Mirror's presence, it connected the Distortion World with the Ghost Mansion Sub-Ecopark, allowing Giratina to bring Frillish back.

From Frillish's mouth, Yuga learned the cause and circumstances of its disappearance and its experiences during those two and a half months.

The Jellicent couple was cried with joy because their lost child has been back.

Since then, Giratina became a frequent visitor to the Ghost Mansion Sub-Ecopark. At regular intervals, it would personally come to fetch Frillish to the Distortion World to spend time with it (actually to give it a bath), unaffected by the Reverse Mirror's time constraints.

Frillish, through a series of coincidences, became a "special guest" of Giratina, receiving better treatment in the Distortion World than Absol and Dragonite.

Due to its limited experiences, Frillish never knew Giratina's true identity, and neither did Yuga and the others tell it. Thus, it interacted with Giratina with a casual attitude, which Giratina found it very interesting.

This might be what they call a "Friendship that defies the generation gap"!
