Powerless

Dan woke up in total darkness. He abruptly sat up and looked around but the darkness was overpowering and he seemed to have been tied up too. He couldn't move.

It was pitch black and he couldn't see a single thing like he was inside some metal container that had been welded shut. He didn't even know if he was in a room or just a big coffin underground. Anything was possible.

Dan tried to remember how he got here and the last thing he remembered was going to the herbal shop and then...

"That cocksucker tased me. "Dan thought as he remembered the events up to this point.

"But why? Was it for the money of my share or does he want me to work for him for free? "Dan questioned as he tried to make sense of what was happening and why it was happening.

He groaned, frustrated by the turn of events. He was kidnapped, that much was clear and it ruined his plans. He had no clue why he was kidnapped and all he could now was sit here tied up.

Frustrated, Dans shouted, "Where are you, Mark? You fucking Bitch. Cone here and untie me. " But all he got back was the echo of his voice and nothing else. Wherever he was, it was empty.

"Lang, how long was I out for? " Dan asked the A. I in his head.

"13 hours and 26 minutes. "Lang answered giving Dan another shock. It was now the next day.

"Where the hell is Mark taking me? " Dan guessed that he was here ready to be transferred somewhere safe.

"Lang, can you guess where I could be now? " Dan asked with a small hope in his heart.

"We are in the wild at the moment. From the movement of your body, I can guess that we are in the air right above the wild at least two hundred kilometres away from Zyron City. " The answer from Lang almost gave Dan a heart attack. He was in the wild, the dreaded hell where only metahumans travelled to. And he was in the air.

"Am I in an airship? "Dan asked, trying to prove his guess.

"Yes. "Lang answered in a monotonous voice.

Dan laid back down on the floor, his head buzzing by the bomb that Lang had just dropped. He was being transported to another city by an airship. It would have been awesome if he wasn't also kidnapped. But now only dread was the emotion that Dan was feeling.

Only the rich could afford to fly in an airship which meant that Mark was a rich guy or he might be working for a rich guy. The situation was getting worse by the second. There was no chance of fleeing from here even if he could or had the chance to flee.

Dan sighed as he tried not to vomit due to his wrenching gut. He flipped to his side and put his ear on the floor.

Soft vibrations and chatter of people filled his ear. There seemed to be a lot of people in the airship.

Dan lay down powerless and motionless. He flet miserable and useless, unable to do anything and at the mercy of others. He was a piece of shit. The only thing he was good at was playing games back in his world and if he was being honest with himself, he was no better than Ian, just older. Age was the only advantage that he had against Ian. And now he was about to die, unable to achieve anything, die chasing money.

He closed his eyes, suppressing the bubbling emotions and accepted his fate. There was nothing he could do to improve his situation. He couldn't even get himself free because of the darkness.

He closed his eyes, hoping sleep would grant him reprieve from the chaos of his thoughts.
