Another Danger

A couple of hours later,

Dan sighed as he stared at the 50th tree that he had inspected. And this didn't have a hole in it too.

The sun was about to set and spending the night outside was not one of the things on Dan's bucket list. It was dangerous in the day but it would be deadly at night to be outside.

So, Dan needed shelter but luck didn't seem to be on his side. He shook his head and turned away from the tree. His white sneakers had turned black and his jeans now looked like they had gone through hell and come back. His black T-shirt was ripped in places and he could feel the dirt on his face and hair.

Dan couldn't even imagine how he looked at the moment and didn't wish to do so either.

"I probably look like a beggar. "Dan thought as he walked up to another tree a bit far away and said," Fifty-first tree it is. Hope you don't disappoint me."
