"Ryan! Decades ago, I vowed that I would defeat you," declared the Blue Moon Principality, adorned in blue knight armor imbued with potent magic. This type of armor, magical knight armor, was a costly investment, reserved for elite knights.
Grand Duke Lanyue exuded an air of arrogance. Having recently advanced to a higher realm, he now possessed even greater power. This newfound strength had instilled him with the confidence to challenge Grand Duke Ryan.
The clash of Dragon Knights marked the decisive moment in the war for their nations.
From a distance, Allen observed this confrontation between two formidable Dragon Knights, and he couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy. "Blue Moon, you've broken through."
Meanwhile, Archduke Ryan, wearing crimson knight armor tailored to his flame dragon attributes, aligned perfectly with his role as a dragon knight. "But breaking through doesn't mean you'll win," he replied calmly, his tone tinged with a hint of disdain and mockery. "Ryan, sanctuary and sanctuary are worlds apart."
Grand Duke Lanyue's voice grew cold as traces of battle intent flickered in his eyes. His aura continued to surge, permeating the entire island. The ground trembled, and the ocean's waves grew turbulent in response.
The tremors extended far and wide, and many of the Principality of Ryan's soldiers turned pale, with some even vomiting blood. "Step back, all below level 7, retreat!"
Marquis Wild Lion promptly ordered his troops to withdraw.
A battle between Dragon Knights was not a spectacle for the uninitiated; not everyone could safely witness it. Golden Knights risked their lives being within the vicinity, as the slightest misstep could be fatal.
"How is it possible that you've reached the Two-Star Sanctuary realm as well?" Grand Duke Lanyue's voice trembled with terror. It held a sense of unwillingness and despair.
"I've said it before; breaking through doesn't guarantee invincibility. Your cultivation is of little significance in my eyes," Archduke Ryan responded, shrouded in crimson flames. With a swift swing of his longsword, he struck Grand Duke Lanyue out of the sky.
"I can't accept this!" Grand Duke Blue Moon exclaimed, blood trickling from his mouth. Simultaneously, his water dragon released a blast of blue dragon breath toward Archduke Ryan.
Unable to evade, Archduke Ryan engaged the incoming blue dragon breath with his red dragon breath. In an instant, the fire dragon appeared beside the water dragon, clamping its jaws around the latter's neck.
The steel dragon let out a pained roar, and dragon blood spilled across the earth.
This dramatic scene shocked the earls and marquises present.
The high-stakes, magical combat between giant dragons was awe-inspiring, and the sensation was far more intense than witnessing the duel between the two grand dukes.
"Dragon battle!" Allen whispered in astonishment.
In the end, the fire dragon triumphed in the contest with the steel dragon, which let out a mournful cry as it crashed to the ground.
In the skies, Duke Ryan maintained his composure, his gaze fixed on the dying grand duke and his dragon below.
A touch of pity shimmered in his eyes, not for Grand Duke Lanyue, but rather for the steel dragon.
Duke Ryan understood that a dragon would only ever bond with a single individual and their descendants.
Dragons, being proud creatures, would never betray their masters. Even if faced with death, they would stand their ground.
"Whoohoo!"
The water dragon struggled, making its way to Grand Duke Lanyue's side, whose life force was rapidly waning.
"Boom!"
With one final wail, the steel dragon succumbed to its injuries, its life force extinguished.
"The Dragon Battle has concluded," Marquis Wild Lion remarked, a blend of shock and sorrow in his eyes.
Allen, too, gazed at the fallen steel dragon, feeling a deep sense of regret. It was a noble creature that met an untimely end.
Yet, something unexpected occurred. The dragon's lifeless body began to swiftly disintegrate, transforming into vibrant, light-blue rays that dissipated into thin air. Only the dragon's sturdiest bones remained behind.
"Ding! The Advanced Dragon Nest has detected the powerful essence of the giant dragon and is absorbing it!"
a notification from the system resounded in Allen's mind.
"The power of the dragon?" Allen wondered, surprised that the Advanced Dragon Nest possessed such a capability.
