Boss (2) - Eye opening victory.

Darkness.

That was all there was. Complete darkness. Nothing existed here except darkness. No sound of the birds chirping, the wind whistling and sounds of old houses creaking. Just darkness.

'Is this the afterlife?' Alaric dazedly looked around him. The darkness was all around him, he was floating endlessly in the void of darkness.

'Heh, there goes my hopes, dreams and goal. Sorry Haley.' his face scrunched up into a bitter visage. 'I was once again too weak.' He sighed, feeling how his body moved through the darkness.

'Mom... Dad' Alaric berated himself. 'Jeez, I'm a horrible human being. This is the first time I have thought about them. I hope they are living happily, be it in a secured compound somewhere in the world or in Heaven, I don't care, as long as they are living happily.'

'Well, there is nothing I can do about it now.' Alaric relaxed his body, accepting the way things turned out. Closing his eyes in contentment.

'Wait. What the hell am I doing?! Get up and fight you lazy excuse of a man! Get up!!' Alaric's eyes shot wide open. Looking into darkness once more.

'Come on, this can't be the end! Think of something! Anything!' Alaric looked around. 'Wait! I feel something!'

He felt a strange pulling sensation from all around him. 'Relax. Keep calm. Feel the energies around you.' He realized the darkness around him was the pulling force energy of his power.

He relaxed once more, his mind now calm. The energy around him also started to flow around him. Moving faster and faster. 'Mom, Dad, Haley. I will always hold you all dear to my heart. I'll never forget any of you. I'll keep my promise and become stronger so that no one will suffer anymore. Mark my words!'

The dark energy suddenly stopped. It lasted for a second, and then the energy blurred straight towards him. Flowing into him.

When everything was absorbed, only a white space was left. 'Heh, the other half of my energy? This will be easy to break through.' Alaric smirked.

****

Back in the groove, Alaric lay lifeless. The creature was not entertained anymore and started walking back to the center of the town.

Black energy slowly appeared on every gash and opening on Alaric's wound. The energy slowly started pulling the skin of his wounds together. Spurring the the cells to regenerate faster. The creature had not noticed this since he was no longer interested in Alaric.

The wound on Alaric' chest had finally healed over and Alaric started breathing again. Alaric's eyes suddenly opened. He lifted his right arm infront of his face, noticing all the scars that were left behind. They covered his whole arm.

He looked around. Seeing his blade, about ten meters away from him. Black energy manifested in his palm and he flung his blade back to him, catching it. He looked into the blade's reflection, seeing that he also had scars on his face.

Alaric looked at the message that had appeared infront of him. His face suddenly contorted into a mad smile. 'Looks like the heavens has chosen me!' he thought, looking up to the sky.

He slowly stood up, dusting himself off. He rolled his neck, strethced his arms and then stretched his legs. 'Looks like everything is working fine, even better than before.' His mad smile not disapearing for even a second.

His gaze then turned towards the creature infront of him. It was still oblivious to the events that had just happened. 'I want to fight him head on. I want to test my new strength.'

"HEY! SH*THEAD!" The creature suddenly stopped. It then turned around, looking at Alaric in disbelief, but quickly grinned again. "LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE COME BACK FROM THE DEAD!"

Alaric's smile grew wider. "Yeah! Your aim sucks!" The creature scoffed then tensed his muscles. "Well, I guess its time for round 2!" Alaric shouted with excitement.

"I GUESS SO!" The creature suddenly disapeared from his spot. Alaric tensed his muscles, tightening the grip on his blade and then also disapeared from his spot.

CLANG!

Sparks flew as blade met blade. The two blades creaking under the presure of the two. "HEH, LOOKS LIKE YOUV'E GOTTEN STRONGER!" The creature sneered. "BUT IT ISN'T ENOUGH!" he said putting more strength into his arm.

"Indeed!" Alaric grinned. "But your'e still underestimating me!" Also putting more strength into his arm. They both disapeared again, they traded blows at jarring speeds as sparks flew everytime their blades met.

Their blades connected once more, Alaric let black energy flow through his blade holding the creature's blade in place. Then Alaric retracted his scar ridled left arm back, balling his hand into a fist. White energy quickly converged around his fist, giving his fist a terrifying feeling of power.

Alaric shot his arm forward, his arm blurring at amazing speeds. It quickly came into contact with the creatures stomach.

BOOM!

It was sent flying back to the top of the hospital, crashing through the third, now highest, floor. Dust was sent fying everywhere.

'With disperce now at level 2 its power is increased and the time it takes to form is faster.' he thought looking at his hand.

Alaric crouched, tensing the muscles in his legs. He then blurred towards the top of the hospital leaving a few cracks in the concrete.

As he jumped towards the top of the hospital, a white blade like light came speeding from the the dust. Alaric raised his blade trying to block it, but was sent flying away from the building.

Alaric maneuvered his body mid air, moving his feet behind him. He then conjured white energy at the souls of his feet and then exploded it, stopping his momentum.

He then exploded the energy again, making him fly towards the dust filled floor of the hospital. Several more white blade like lights flew from the dust. Alaric quickly conjured white energy on different parts of his body, exploding them to dodge and maneuver between the blade like lights.

Left, right , down and up. This continued until he reached the dust filled floor. Landing, he quickly sliced his blade in a wide arc dispercing the dust within the room. He looked around, seeing that the creature disapeared.

"BEHIND YOU!" Alaric quickly turned around, raising his blade, but there was no one there. Alaric's eyes widened as he felt a strong force hitting him in the back, sending him flying back out of the building.

Alaric turned his body mid air, swinging his blade upward, clashing with the blade of the creature, which had appeared above him. 'Sh*t, I have to end this quickly, or I'll die for real this time.' Alaric conjured white energy at the back of his elbow, and then exploded it.

This gave Alaric the extra push to throw the creature back to the building. Alaric twirled in the air and then landed on the ground, sliding a few meters back.

'Alright, let's try this one more time!' Alaric sighed falling into concentration, closing his eyes. "HAHAHAHA, YOU REALLY ARE AMUSING!", the creature yelled finally landing back infront of the building. There was about 100 meters between them now.

'HUH, SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT.' Looking at Alaric, it felt like something was wrong. 'WHATEVER, I'LL PUT EVERYTHING IN THIS LAST ATTACK.' The creature lowered his stance, his entire body bulging with power.

"THIS IS THE END!", the creature screamed, blurring at Alaric straight on. Alaric opened his eyes, smiling crazilly. 'Bingo!'

The creature immediatly regreted the action he took at that moment. He could feel now, that he would be killed. "YEAH, FOR YOU!" Alaric let loose a haunting laugh.

Alaric's left hand quickly shot forward, palm facing infront of him. White energy suddenly appeared infront of his hand. The white energy strands flowed calmly, weaving and intertwining with one another. The energy then started moving faster, flowing around a single point. Condensing into a sphere until it reached the size of a golf ball. It strangely looked like an atom.

'Gravitational manipulation skill: White Sphere.'

The sphere was launched from Alaric's palm, leaving a ghostly white trail behind it. It shot towards the creature with terrifying speeds, leaving no room for dodging it. So the creature lifted his blades to block it. That was futile as the sphere ripped through its blades, slamming into his stomach.

BOOM!

'SH*T.' It coughed up blood, as it was sent flying back at mind boggling speeds. It crashed back towards the ground, skidding across the concrete and uprooting it, leaving a trail.

Alaric appeared ontop of the creature, his blade already making its way towards the creature. It tried blocking, but it no longer had any blades.

The blade met its mark, deep inside the creature's chest. Alaric laughed, "You underestimated me." The light left the creature's eyes, but it had one last thought before it died. It gave a bitter smile.

'IRONIC.'
